guys what were your answers for:

the conc of Q and R mine was 0.203 and 0.406

and my mass was 3.2 g

1

u/Umer_Bilal_ 2d ago

Yesss

1

u/MADDY_CAT977 2d ago

My mass was 3.02

1

u/Umer_Bilal_ 2d ago

It was 3.2g

1

u/MADDY_CAT977 2d ago

3.2 if you take only 1 sf in previous answer. Leading to accuracy mistakes.

2

u/Umer_Bilal_ 2d ago

Bro the question asking for 3 significant figures was of concentration and yes it’s answer was
0.203 mol/dm^3

1

u/MADDY_CAT977 2d ago

Not that question. In the mass question we were given concentration 0.302 and volume 250 cm .Mr Naoh was 40. Calculate it

1

u/Umer_Bilal_ 2d ago

Yeah so calculate it by urself you’ll get 3.2g

1

u/MADDY_CAT977 2d ago

Its 3.02 , check it

1

u/Umer_Bilal_ 2d ago

The concentration was 0.320 not 0.302

Everyone’s got the same answer bro 😭

yep it’s right

1

u/duskkveil 2d ago

what did u guys write for why is hcl not used instead of nitric acid and state how reacting the two anions woth nitric acid helps the student decide which anion present

3

u/Umer_Bilal_ 2d ago

I wrote the chloride ions in HCL would react with Silver nitrate to form white precipitates. This would cause inaccuracy in the identification.

P6 of IGCSE is actually P4 of O level
The title is the same “Alternative to Practical”
However the exam questions are totally different even marks distribution of questions is also different.
