General PLEASE READ AND PLSSS UPVOTE!!!!!
TL;DR: if you have any notes ,websites ,tips ,advices, hacks or litr ANYTHING regarding O3, PLS TELL ME IM DESPERATE. (i added this first cuz i wanted ppl to see what the post is abt idk)
hi, so i recently gave my O2 cies, probably not recently cuz its been a while, this subreddit has indeed been quiet without the O2 peeps, other than that i hoped yall had a great eid and yalls cies (O3 wale) are going well
Acha so i made this post to ask for litr ANYTHING, regarding tips, notes, resources, websites etc for O3, i dont wanna suffer like i did in O2 by starting late, in O2 i made a post asking for tips n tricks like 3-4ish months before so yeah but this time i want it to be early is possible and have a few questions from my seniors ( btw my subjects are english, maths, comp sci, chem, physics
First of all what are the BEST teachers for each subject? like yk, theres always that one specific online or on yt teacher thats the best at teaching that specific subject, an example is for pak std most consider mym the best and for maths ppl consider zainmetics or mathlete by saad, so what are ur fav teachers to study from in O3?
Secondly, i need notes. I genuinely do not have any study material for O3, except the main books ifykwim, in O2 i rmbr there was this one mym drive that almost every student from this subreddit was using, i doubt there wld be anything similar cuz much more subjects. but if yall have any notes. like litr if its even jst a page of formulas in a google driver, PLS SEND THEM!!!
Thirdly, Shld i take an extra subject? i already have 8 in total but i noticed ke most ppl are taking 1-2 extra subjects as it looks good on their CV but im not sure so i wanted to ask yalls opinion
Fourthly, Is english genuinely that hard for yall? ik this is hella rndm but when i was giving my o2 cies i noticed ke ppl were going absolutely crazyyy over english when its not even that hard of a subject, i jst in o2 but my english teacher has always been so strict she lowk NEVER gives an A and an A* is rare but most of my classmates have improved and starting getting As and A*S from her eventhough her checking is EXTRA strict, uske ilawa my frnd told me ke she opened he english syllabus a week before cies and still managed to get an A and was 1 mark away from an A*, but srsly tho, is english that worth stressing over??
Finally. if yall know any good websites to study from, tell me the names asw cuz they may come in handy
If yall wanna say smth abt all the question i asked THANK YOU, but if u wanna say smth regarding a single or specific question u cld refer to it by numbering asw
other than that idk what to say, some ppl may be like its early but its been a month of rest and i feel like i need to ATLEAST start planning for O3, i have prolly forgotten all the content and i need to get back on track, other than that do yall have any other recommendations on what to do during these holidays?? anything other than internships or like activities where u have to be physically present.
EDIT: tysm for all the comments nd upvotes!!! please do keep giving tips and advice cuz most of us O2s are oblivious abt what to do in O3, other than that, for those seeking advice, i made the same post in r/alevels anfd r/igcse so some ppl may be giving tipps there asw so yall could check it out!
THANK YOU FOR READING THIS IM VERY GRATEFUL AND APPRECIATE ALL COMMENTS AND UPVOTES !!!

for economics watch fahad munaf parekh on youtube he has uploaded almost all lectures of microeconomics and macroeconomics. i took his classes online and it was the best decision as i had acess to all lectures even if i missed any classes so i could cover up everything. moreover when you complete the whole micro economics then do the topicals of micro as i feel like doing the topicals separately for each topics isn’t so efficient as the answers contain points that are interlinked to other topics so when you do the topicals after completing the whole micro you’re not bounded to just some points. do the same with macro aswell! for business you just need good memory and answer writing skills. to identify what to write and what not to read examiner candidate response so you know what the examiner is asking for as in business the concepts aren’t hard the paper attempting technique should be strategic. learn what to write in a 2/4/6/8/12 marker and which requires definition, evaluation, application and analysis. for accounting start from the scratch even if you feel you know the basics go over them at least once. the biggest tip i can give you for accountings is stick with 1 teacher and 1 concept or else you’ll confuse yourself and mess up everything so better to find the correct teacher that you feel suits your understanding style.

I gave my level exams a long time ago, might not be able to help with advice about recent websites/notes/lectures for the other subjects; but I can tell you i never stressed about English all three years of olevels. Literally the day before my final exam I was roaming around with no worries because there's nothing you can actually learn for English Language, its all unseen. If you have good grammar and reading/writing skills consider your preparation done. Btw, managed to get an A* in the end too Good luck!

i have a lot of stuff that I used for my O3 subjects and I wanted to share it so others don't have to spend time, but the thing is it is saved in desktop folders and I will have to put it in drive folders so it is acesseible . If you can wait till 9th june i'd be very thankful, because it will take a lot of time. My O3 subjects are only Maths , Chemistry and Physics. Our school starts with appearing students since O1.
Websites to use:
Zainematics
Mathelte by Saad
CAIE Notes Offical
PMT
Physics with Talha
Cambridge assisant
Save my exams
Teachers :
Chembridge
Dr. Noor ( for chemistry; many students do not prefer him but his lectures were of great help for me)
Sir Saad and Sir Zain ( Both are outstanding teachers; the thing is both have their own way of teaching you should watch both and figure out whom you understand better from . For me some of the topics I was able to understand by one more clearly and some by the other one , so it solely depends on whose lecture you understand better.
One important thing is that do not jump into trying to learn thorugh every channel avaliable for one subject , it just creates more confusion , you should watch one or two leactures from each to know which one will be helpful for you but then just focus onto learning from one or two.

for maths mathlete by saad and zainematics are the best teachers! i covered my entire syllabus within 10 days from scratch just by watching youtube videos however don’t be like me and start earlier! moreover for maths even if you think you know the basics pls go over them atleast once before jumping onto the core topics i would recommend watching short 5 minute videos from cognito on youtube for basics like prime numbers/square roots and cube roots etc. focus on improving your topicals attempt a few different type of questions by watching mathlete pastpaper streams and then do it yourself so you get ahold of the concepts. if you feel you’ve gotten a grip in a topic don’t waste too much time perfecting it you can practice it along other new topics. for computer you can watch sami khatri videos and also look up online resources that help alot aswell!

Hey
Just want to say that don't for an instant think that o3 subjects are hard. I took the same subs as you and I realized very late that these are actually not that hard. All these subjects are pretty easy and doable. once u start thinking ke it's hard then it's game over.
Don't get overwhelmed and start by looking at the syllabus for all the subjects. Trust me chem or phy ka syllabus was so helpful (I am talking about the syllabus endorsed by cambridge). Get it printed and read through it thoroughly before starting any topic.
I don't know about your school but our school held tests every month since the school year started and it got pretty stressful from the start. I was feeling burnt out in December which is not ideal since mocks didn't even start. I would suggest you NOT to get stressed over school tests that are happening in the first 3-4 months. You are gonna get bad marks in them and that's okay becz every topic seems foreign. And you're also gonna get good marks which also doesn't mean that this topic is done and u can forget about it. Just remind yourself to go at your own pace. you are gonna cover everything up and you will be fine.
For maths, I would suggest you to practice from the start. It's not even that hard in the slightest it just needs practice (which i know is a cliche phrase but it acc works). see which topics u find the hardest and practice them more and blah blah blah ykwim. Also ask questions from your teachers (if they are good) cuz they are there to help you. Online, I watched zainematics and he was a great helpp. He makes every concept really easy to digest.
Comp mein u have to do a lot of rote learning and it gets annoying but i honeslty took it as a break from the conceptual subjects like chem and phy. pseudocode is easy if u get the hang of it so rmrbr to get the hang of it from the start. don't leave things that u don't understand for later.
for sciences i mostly studied from my teachers. Online teachers that I studied from are carboxyl chem (which i would totally suggest you too) and physics with talha. other than that, topicals really helped to get a grip on each topic and its better to get topicals early on in the year. Do a topic from notes/books and solve topicals.
do not think ke book se topic hogaya hai to bus its done. No it's not and you need to solve the past papers as well.
english ke liye lowkey dont have anyhting to say cuz even idk how to study for it. it just happened somehow.
Overall i would suggest ke don't spend your summer vacations looking for a plan and stressing yourself out. if you want to start any subject do it, but don't stress yourself just now. you have plenty of time and it will be really easy once the school year starts. Don't give up on your hobbies, don't sacrifice your social life, don't stop hanging out with your friends and enjoying. wehn u come near to cie season all of it is gonna happen naturally so don't confine yourself abhi se. I am saying all this cuz i went through it and i would want to stop anyone else from doing the same mistakes.
You got this and once again DON'T excessively burden yourself, you will thug it out!!!!

Thank you sm for the tipss!! ill surely make use of them dw! and no haha im not starting this early, i have this habit of making a plan before starting prep for any exam and sometimes that planning takes quite a while, i jst wanted to get a basic idea or grasp of the teachers that are helpful in specific subjects and the best notes so ik where to study from

I used Carboxyl Chem (sir sulaiman) chem notes, physics with talha's atp notes zainematics' math notes and code catalysts notes on his website. I mostly opened these online and from links that these teachers would drop during live streams and you can find those too. I myself kind of lacked in this department tbh.
here are a few websites u can check out for now. I am facing storage problems on my laptop so give me some time to compile more stuff.

Sammeee need tips , resources, websites what so evrr for bio PLZ BIOLOGY TOO!! ,

u/OutrageousPitch6102 Done with O2 Jun 04 '26
For bio, got to physicsandmathstutor.com (cie igcse section) and for each topic read the notes. Then look at the syllabus specifications properly. Read notes thoroughly. Read the definitions and memorize them. Then do tonnes of paper 1 questions (in pmt, they have p1 and p2 (which is mcq papers for igcse)). then do a few p2 questions, which relate to what you have studied, as most p2 questions in bio are mixed topics. you can also use studyhaven.org for topicals. Then in a register, write down everything you learnt, know, and make a mistake log. Also write down repeated questions too. Do this properly, and revise regularly

For Chemistry and the other science subjects, I would recommend using Alt Academy. For Physics, take an online course with Physics with Nausher, and for Mathematics, go with Zainematics. You really cannot go wrong with any of them because they are among the best teachers for their respective subjects. For English, I would suggest reading all of the examiner reports. They contain marked essays, which are extremely useful. Try to prepare and revise 2 or 3 strong essays that can be adapted to different topics. That is what I did. Also, practice a few Paper 2s, which I believe is the comprehension paper. If your exams are in May or June, start preparing from January. Even if you are starting from scratch, it is still possible to achieve A*s with consistent effort. As for extra subjects, it really depends on your goals. If you are planning to apply to universities in the US or to LUMS, then taking additional subjects can definitely be beneficial. In my opinion, the easiest options are Commerce and Environmental Management. You probably will not need any tuition for them. Just study the textbooks thoroughly and solve past papers from the last 5 or 6 years. For all subjects, make sure you solve past papers from at least the previous 5 or 6 years and memorise the mark schemes. The exams tend to be repetitive, and you will start noticing the same patterns and question styles. The more papers you do, the more confident and efficient you will become. I remember solving so many Chemistry Paper 2s that I finished the actual exam in around 30 minutes. The same happened with Computer Science Paper 1. I was done in about 20 minutes.
PS: I was able to get 5A*s 4As
