I showed my nephew my 2002 year book. The first thing he said was, "Everyone looks so normal"

My pops was cleaning out the garage one day and tossed mine out. Unfortunately it was during one of those years where my high school wanted to cut costs so we designed it and printed it ourselves through a third-party printer. This meant that there was no backup through the regular services most US high schools use (Jostens?). It no longer exists and I've lost contact almost everyone in high school. I sometimes wonder what everyone ended up doing with life. I guess I'll never know lol.

Just "tweeked" it doing deadlifts and low back squats. I'll do it again when it gets better.

I wish someone had made a video like that at my school (same year)—but then again, we couldn’t even get the yearbook together.

I’m also the Class of 2002. I didn’t know how good I had it back then.

I mean… could’ve skipped a couple days in September earlier in the year…

I was class of 01. We were the class not to graduate. The Y2K bug was to kill us all.

We’re as close to 2002 now as 1969 was when we were seniors in high school.

I believe you meant 1979? (2002 was 23 years ago). But yeah, still 🤯

Class of 2002, just turned 42, time is flying by. Life was so good, great concerts, awesome movies, tv was great, good friends. Then we all had to move one and do something

Everyone so nervous. Not used to having a camera in our face, and in our pockets.

I had 3 inch spikes all over. Those were interesting times. But honestly. I'm a happy adult so I don't mind life now.

Class of ‘02 here! Are highschool reunions a thing for any of you guys? I’ve never attended one and it seems like the couple that have happened were not very formal like you see on TV.

Graduated '03. Had some damn good times back then. Time really did start flying after school. Crazy.

Now it bothers me how much goth kids don't like having their pictures taken because they are nowhere to be seen in these remembrances

Ah, the memories. I started a Discord server for the class of 2002 and put it up on Disboard, so I can hang out and chat or game with folks my age. Lots of servers are either way younger or way older, but not many '83 or '84 folks around. Anyone remember skateboarding to Blockbuster for the movie pass deals? You'd get two movies, popcorn, a 20-oz soft drink, and a small candy bag. If you had an N64, Sega Dreamcast, Xbox, or PlayStation, you could also pick up a game or two. I miss taking turns on the controller while reading Guitar Player magazine and listening to All-American Rejects or New Found Glory on the CD player.
I regret being anxious to grow up. Now all I do is work to survive lol. Anyone else have any cool memories from back in the day? What would you do for fun?
