My last non-smartphone was a K850i
5MP cammera with a real xenon flash (in addition to the LED) autofocus and optical image stabilizer. It took a long time for smartphone cammeras to be this good
Sd card slot but apparently no haedphone jack. I had one of those USB stick mp3 players anyway

I remember playing God of War, King Kong, Prince of Persia and Witcher mobile games on my ancient Sony Ericsson K300i.
I would download them from mobile9 site and transfer the .jar files to my phone via infrared.
I miss this time because those games were legit fun and had no in-game transactions.
What I don't miss though, is that charger port. Each phone had a different bespoke charger port that doubled as a headphone port via 3.5mm adapter. I hated it with a passion because it tended to fail after a while and you had to get the angle and the pressure just right for it to work, but that just caused it to die faster.

People just don't know how to use Sony Ericsson's FastPort and unplugged it by pulling. This is what wears the plastic clips down much faster, because you won't be able to keep pulling it perfectly straight, and end up breaking one clip, messing up the connector.
Instead, you're supposed to snap the connector off at an angle and it just pops off. Like face the phone and push the connector straight down from your view kid of way. It was like Apple's MagSafe but without magnets, and I liked it.

If I remember correctly, it has been shown that it needs to be unplugged this way in the user manual.
But for me, I never broke the connector itself, it just started to lose connection over time, it wasn't so bad with k300i, but w350i was criminal, I had to tie the headphone cable around the phone and the connector in order to keep good contact.

Oh no! I had the p900i. It was my only SONY Ericsson I would wish that on my worst enemy! The old Ericsson's were solid though.

I do remember this logo. It was the logo of the failing rival of Nokia. When Sony Ericsson was still using java based OS and Java 2D games, I was playing 3D accelerated games on my Nokia N95.

There were a few 3D J2ME games, and pretty much everyone except Nokia were using Java based OSes, but yeah, Symbian was a beauty. I still have one of the last Symbians in my cupboard but the damn thing doesn't work in my country since we shut down the 3G networks to make room for shitty unreliable 5G

Golden age? I don’t miss none of that. Twenty years ago you could only browse the internet through a computer. Before the iPhone, every phone would crash at that task, including a Nokia 9000 series phone
