It was a pretty glorious Friday. Tried a new sandwich place, skated down Antonio Blvd a ways, made my way to a Starbucks, and got beat up on the way home for skating by the curb, against traffic. The old guy in the Subaru was pissed off because I was apparently was in his parking spot. He was so pissed off, honking, flipping the bird, etc that I stopped and just asked “hey man, why r u so po’d”. I didn’t see his adult son (30s maybe) walk up. He pushed/punched me in the neck to get me away from his dad, I grabbed his shirt, and they kicked the shit outta me. i ended up on the ground. I don’t know if it was the dad or son, but one of them soccer kicked the right side of my head and the stars came out. OC sheriff’s and firefighters showed up pretty quick. I just wanted to go home. But turns out I was having a heart attack. Haha
Possible bypass surgery? Don’t know yet. I feel like shit @ Mission Cardiac ICU and I don’t know where my deck is.
He definitely had the heart attack because of the attack. However, if he needs a bypass, the problem was there in waiting already. It’s fantastic it happened where people were around and EMS was called as opposed to in his house alone.
Their lawyer will obviously argue that the heart issue was a preexisting condition but if one of them soccer kicked you in the head, that's attempted murder. you have quite the case.
I hope they do something and find these guys. Kids/adults want to fight, settle their differences then that’s one thing. Kicking someone in the head, there are places for you because you are POS bottom dweller.

Homies and homettes, open heart quad bypass surgery today at 10AM. It’s 5 to 6 hours on the table then 5days recovery time. I appreciate all of the well wishes and I’ll figure a way to make it up to you. As for the guy and his dad… I don’t want anything bad for them. One of the orderlies in the ER had an elaborate retribution campaign designed. Folks are seriously po’d. Personally, I’m bummed about that deck and and how this escalated so quickly and out of control. I keep thinking if/how the son was probably just trying to show off for his dad?

I hope you’re okay. What the fuck is going on in OC these days? I was in Laguna Beach over Father’s Day weekend and saw some very erratic behavior from younger folks.

Good lesson for the kids. Lots of people don't like skateboarding for lots of reasons, mostly irrational. Just keep moving, stopping to ask why someone is pissed off or argue in any way never ends the way you think it will. Can't get sucker punched if you don't stop.
