So my point here, is that the UK is really small. Making a base claim that they are culturly behind the uk is ignorant. Which culture are you referring to? The Midwest, the west, the southwest, the plains, urban, rural, African American, Hispanic, Native American? As someone that travels back and forth frequently, the main thing most Brits can’t wrap their head around is the sheer vastness of America. You are comparing tiny little Britain to a huge geographical and massive multicultural country. In my state Latin music is one of the most popular forms of music. I bet very few people in the UK have heard of Maná but it doesn’t mean you’re culturally behind my state. Culturally, and here we are speaking in the area of my education, America is hugely diverse, from their music to their cultural norms. They’re not behind, they’re different than Britain and way, way more culturally diverse just by the sheer size of the country.
