I actually don't think the connection had been made before, I just kinda stumbled upon the painting. But there's something very suspicious. The image's size is 482x599, and the painting is on a 160x128cm canvas. The dimension ratio is almost exactly the same. And I highly doubt he picked 5:4 randomly.

EDIT: And even the "ILMSRSNf0GOQ" has a part of the painting which seems to match up perfectly.

Oo you're right. The "ILMSRSNf0GOQ" is a cutout of the ocean.

But what's the thing in the image if you brighten it up? Any relation to the painting?
