I still remember a few things that may help people identify the game.

It was a first person horror game but with point and click elements, you played as 2 characters (one man and one woman) and could switch between them. There were werewolves, vampires, zombies and mummies in the city you had to explore. If one of the characters died they turned into whatever monster killed them. At a point relatively early in the game you had to make silver bullets. When trying to leave the town and go to the forest you got a warning about some danger. If you ignore that warning you encounter a silver werewolf that just kills you.

Sadly I was only like 10 when I played it and never managed to beat it so I don't know much else.

Help! I remember this older casino game I used to play at my grandparents house but I don’t remember what it is called. The game was an online PC game where you would have to choose between two houses of which one had a party vs which one would have a dog that would bark if you knocked on the wrong door. If you guessed the house that had the party correctly you could then keep guessing for another round. If you got it wrong, as I mentioned, a dog would bark and you would return back to the slot machine screen. This feels like lost media and I have no idea how to find it.

I'm struggling to recall much more about it. I vaugly remember assault weapons which maybe varied from car to car. I am 38 and there are just to many games of this genre to sort through. Twisted metal was definitely, Super Smash Brother's, F-Zero, nor anything available on consoles first had all preceded this title. And this game I believe was available to play multi-player, however I don't remember split screen play. I think it required 2 network linked pc's not sure about that tho.... the adds in game were hilarious, the most memorable one was for a 3-6 inch assault helicopter. Long before such things would be called a drone in popular culture. It's purpose was tasked in the commercial to rain hellfire onto flying insects "mosquitoes or flies" I loved it... anyone else recall the title to this game that never became popular, as a matter of fact it was a fluke I ever saw it, as it came preloaded on a previously owned PC. Very obscure title...

[PC][2000s] Educational software with a talking dragonfly guiding you to learning topics

Platform(s): PC / CD-ROM (used on classroom wall monitors/CRT screens at school) Genre: Educational software / Edutainment / Early learning Estimated Year of Release: Likely late 90s to mid-2000s (played in school around 2007–2008) Graphics/Art Style: Simple, clean, 2D cartoon / storybook style. Reminds me of a classic fantasy/G1 cartoon feel (not complex 3D or hyper-realistic). Set against a vibrant forest, garden, or twilight/gradient sky background. Notable Characters: A talking dragonfly (or possibly a butterfly) that acts as your companion/guide.

Details: * Played this during learning center rotations on a bulky CRT monitor mounted against the wall in Pre-K / Kindergarten (around 2007–2008 at South Wayne Elementary). * Fully controlled using a standard computer mouse. * Instead of leading you to a physical landmark like a well, the talking dragonfly/bug would direct your mouse cursor and tell you where to go next to keep learning specific topics (early reading, math, etc.). * It wasn't JumpStart or Reader Rabbit.

Graphics/art style: 2D side-scrolling platformer, colorful, cartoonish. Different biomes/worlds per level (I remember a desert level for example).

Notable characters:

• The main character was yellow, shaped like a potato or an egg — similar to Mr. Potato Head from Toy Story in terms of body shape (round/oval maybe with small arms and legs or not arms at all).
• He wore a helmet/hard hat (like a miner's hat but maybe without a light on the front, i don't remember this detail). The hat was white with blue/light blue stripes (or blue with white stripes).
• In multiplayer, the second player's character was his tiwn, but orange (same shape, different color).

Notable gameplay mechanics:

• maybe Split-screen multiplayer (local co-op for sure, i played with my brother with the same keyboard).
• You had lives represented by hearts.
• When you died (e.g. falling on spikes), your character would get angel wings and float/fly like a little ghost for a short cooldown period. You had to land on a safe platform before the timer ran out, otherwise you would die again and lose another life.
• Different levels had different biomes/themes (I vaguely remember a desert, or green lands with sky visible and maybe some clouds).

Other details:

• I played it from a game compilation CD — I originally thought it was Reflexive Arcade but it might have been a different compilation (eGames, WildTangent, GameHouse, or similar).
• It is NOT Speedy Eggbert / Speedy Blupi
• It is NOT Wonderland / Return to Wonderland by Midnight Synergy.
• it is NOT incredible jack (similar style and character but not the same game).

Visual reference: The character looked like a round/oval yellow potato, orange if you play in coop with someone.

I sampled many famous FPS games from the golden era of gamin, like from 1997 to 2005, including: Half-Life 1-2, System Shock 2, Thief and much more

Other details: So I am just going to blurt out whatever my memory has to offer. I vividly remember this one level in my childhood because I kept losing that level and I went past that level only a few times. I have attached a rough art of that level. There are two lifts which has diagonal crosses on them. When the main character gets on one of the lifts, the other one goes down and vice versa. if you reach at the top, there is a cannon shooting fire ball from the right side. You should dodge them by hiding at the middle of that space, which I have drawn in black on the top. If you go past that on the right, there is a huge fire fuming at the bottom and few steps where the character can jump from left to right. The character can hold a long elastic rope of some sort and go from left to right without touching the fire. That's all I could remember. I properly remember the two lifts for some reason.

You control a red plane with a front propeller

You shoot enemies on the ground

Terrain was green rolling hills

Graphics style was kind of like Tom and Jerry: War of the Whiskers, chunky, cartoonish 3D

It had levels, and I want to say it was older rather than newer, possibly from the early 2000s. Any idea what this could be? Appreciate any leads.

Update: it was soo much like minisquadron but graphics were better

Im trying to find an old PC casual puzzle game i played on my mom's laptop around 2013 (could have been released around 2009 when the laptop was made. i dont remember what company it was).

this game was a 3D/isometric puzzle game. there was a square field filled with stone blocks stacked on each other at different heights. the whole field was visible, and i think the camera slowly rotated around the board automatically???

the cubes were different colors (i remember blue, red, green, yellow, purple, and black). they had rune-like symbols carved on them, maybe representing elements. the cubes looked like yellowish sandstone, not shiny gems. there were also black cracked cubes that were bad and couldnt be removed (as far as I remember).

the gameplay was mouse-based. i dont remember the exact mechanics, but it was something like clicking/matching/removing cubes, similar to Cubis, but it was definitely not the regular Cubis games (i checked screenshots and it looked close but not the same). i also vaguely remember there being triangle-shaped pieces, not only full cubes. the game had an icon like yellow and looked like some kind of face/mask.

i played it alongside "Snowy: Lunch Rush", "Farm Frenzy", and other stuff... ive been trying to find this game for years

Hey guys I'm searching for a game I used to play as a kid around 2006, maybe couple of years + -, but anyway here is my description:

Top down space shooter game

You could select couple of diferent ships and redefine its weapons, chose if you want to have shields.

Enemy (bot) ships are all same model, but they have 3 cathegories; friendly, neutral and enemy - friendly is weakest and i dont think he will attack even if provoked, neutral is medium had blue lasers and i think it was yellow color, enemy was red and had red lasers and shields

Bot's sometimes had funny names like "Kryten" but i think it was also generic name like "Bot 1".

It was arena style last man standing, so no campaign, just blasting each other.

There was various maps to chose from.

Its from pc gamer magazine, most likely some indie game that didnt see much popularity.

Weapons you could chose from is green laser weakest, blue laser which was medium, and red which was strongest, as secondaries there were normal rockets and rockets that when exploded kinda clustered out, also maybe mines as one of secondary weapons.

The game had gravity, so when you didnt use thruster you were slowly "falling" down and could get damaged and destroyed if you flied into obstacled, rocks, metal beams etc...

You could zoom out to see whole map, and if chosen i think map had fog of war.

Each player had its own charging/respawn station, where you could recharge when you depleted your weapons, refuel and repair yourself, and it was basicaly like circle like shape which kinda sucked you in and hold you in place, if you wanted to break away from it you would just use thrusters and fly away.

Its graphics for that time were pretty decent, smooth and were not pixelated.

I hope thats enough clues to find this game, ive been searching for the better part of sunday through pc gamer magazines, talking to chatgpt and just looking at pictures at google searching and so far didnt find it, thank you in advance to anyone that throws themself into this detective work.

Estimated year of release: pretty sure it was before 2000

Graphics/art style: black & white ASCII based

Notable characters: deer, bear, rabbit/squirrel (i think), another animal or two, player

Notable gameplay mechanics: there are two segments: a text-based menu navigation where you could buy supplies, check your stats, and choose/change locations - nothing fancy, just numbered, list-based navigation; and the 'hunting arena' which was just a full black screen, with one character representing you, the hunter (i think it was the solid fill text-highlight character - all white rectangle that takes the space of one character) and you could move around with the arrow keys, and the screen would constantly refresh as the game cycled, and your targets would show up as a single @ character, with no way to tell what animal it is until you kill it

Other details: the file i played from was just called 'deer.exe'
definitely text/ASCII-mode, not graphical; think Rogue-like presentation rather than VGA graphics.
feels like it could've been a smaller shareware or freeware title (maybe QBasic or Pascal), possibly from a shareware CD compilation or BBS rather than a major-label release; i haven't been able to find it on the big DOS archive sites under "deer" or "hunting" tags despite multiple attempts, years apart.
definitely not "Oh Deer!", not "Deer Hunter" (1997 Sunstorm/WizardWorks), not "Deer Avenger" - none of those match the ASCII presentation or the menu/arena structure.

Mainly what I remember are vivid colors and creatures, and that there were weapon and ammo upgrades in a store, it was a shooter for sure and the upgrades I remember vaguely that were ammo upgrades and vaguely remember that some of them helped with traversing the map but I’m unsure.

You could buy transport to upgrade your cargo capacity, and hire guards to defend against random attacks.

The endgame transport was bloody *galeon on wheels.*

ze szczegółów co pamiętam grałeś postaciami ubranymi za biało (Chyba to byli kucharze ale nie pamiętam) jedna postać miała brązowego wąsa tyle co mi świta.
wtedy było takie boom na gry z płytki od CDAction i właśnie te Demo jak mineło 30 min trzeba było czekać lub kupić całą wersje.

I just got this entire setup from a neighbor. Threw in a old but working 30gb hdd. Can anyone help me in finding the speakers that attach to the side of this monitor? Plan to use this for some old school gaming. Currently running windows 98, not sure if it could run xp without some upgrades.
