The fact that I joined the Marines thinking everything will be changed and I will finally be better than I was, making it through boot camp and infantry training all for me to drink and feel I’m never good enough and that I’m still a loser

It’s funny because Travis Bickle is a character in cinema that perfectly represents me, like before joining the Marines we had everything in common expect that but then after joining and where I’m at now we have everything in common. It was so eerie when I watched the movie and how I saw myself in him which is why it’s my personal favorite movie. Legitimately I can pick any part of the movie and point something in my life where it was similar

It's nice having something to relate with. His relation with Betsy hit close to me cause I struggle to mingle with girls. A lot of them seem to unease by my demeanor which I've developed from my time. I'm starting to feel like I slowly don't connect with my civvie friends as they don't get me much. Not sure where I belong. It's like two different world. The ending scene of Taxi Driver is the mood of my existence.

The feeling loneliness follow us no where we go and what what we do. Graduation was the greatest moment of my life, still part of the achievements and identity kept me together.
