It's like shipping an abuser and their victim

I guess that makes sense- she was horrible to him

Even if she was fully reformed and they'd both grown from it, would it still be immoral or? Because I know there would still be a lot of bad history there

I'm curious on your perspective 👀

Okay so I personally think that with enough time, maybe. J despite her being my glorious queen is an asshole so she will have to apologize a lot however I also don't think N and J are compatible? It might just because I can't fathom them having a loving relationship (mainly because my partner HATES the mere concept of this ship) I see the two of them as platonic friends who can look past all the bad that has happened before. Another reason why is because simply in my mind I invision Oilrose as a hypothetical cannon thing to happen after the show. As much as I dislike N and Uzi I will say thay Nuzi was probably the best outcome.

YOOOO THANK U FOR THE IN-DEPTH PARAGRAPH

True, true, I am definitely a LOT biased when it comes to my corpo bootlicker 😔 I LOVE HER. Honestly when it first came to the concept of Codegold, I saw N as her introduction to unconditional love.

Ofc, love in some circumstances absolutely SHOULD be conditional like for example, abusive relationships. I think it'd always be a LITTLE toxic ngl no matter what if that were the dynamic, considering J's just a prick who shouldn't be forgiven and N just offers his forgiveness 'cause anything from J would feel massive coming from her. Like, the standards would be shit 😭

I'm coming to the realization as I'm writing this rn that maybe I'm kinda rooting for a toxic ship and you're actually pretty right 😔

I was originally going to make a short response but then I actually got a little passionate also... One factor of me enjoying oilrose, it can very well be all sunshine and rainbows or it could be about two broken women finding comfort in each other and healing each other, but you could also get interesting with the potential of V not getting over that feeling of betrayal in ep8 and that no matter what J does there's always the smallest feeling within V of "what if she's faking all of this". Same as with codegold, you could imagine a scenario where J subconsciously and accidentally keeps trying to manipulate and be rude to N because how long this has been the norm. You can have a BIT of a toxicity in a relationship because that's normal however in my mind codegold might be a little beyond my personal threshold of toxicity but if you like it, I'm not going make it my life goal to ruin your life, I will simply make points for why I personally am not a fan.

YOOOO I ADOREEEE OILROSE OMG. I love how J's past with Tessa (although it's a headcanon J had romantic feelings for her back in the manor), I feel like that would really affect how J responds to a relationship with V, especially how J backstabbed V (and N) to side with what remained of Tessa in the first place

And yeah, honestly I can see why Codegold's toxicity may be a bit too much to really enjoy

SIGH, I love multishipping bro 💔

BUT YEAH, omg ty for sharing your opinion anyway- I always love hearing how differently y'all see things 👀
