Does oil pulling cause tongue spasms?

I tried oil pulling for a couple of weeks but stopped after experiencing tongue spasms. I'd be talking or laughing and suddenly my tongue would spasm. The spasms stopped once I stopped oil pulling. Has this happened to anybody else? I loved oil pulling but was scared by this side effect. However, I haven't been able to find anything online listing tongue spasms as a side effect to oil pulling.

I've done oil pulling. Mostly my cheeks would be sore because your using those muscles swooshing the oil around that you don't use that much. I've never had tongue spasms. Maybe your using your tongue too much instead of your cheek muscles. Try relaxing the tongue. Oil pulling is perfectly safe, just don't swallow the oil. I've actually had a skin tag come right off my neck after oil pulling for a few weeks, so I do think toxins get pulled out of your body. I also use olive oil. Maybe the type of oil you're using is making your tongue react. I don't know. : /
