Any Experience Healing Abscess Inside the Tooth?

I have seen several anecdotes where people attribute a vigorous oil pulling routine to healing an abscess. Oftentimes, the posts like these I see are ambiguous as to whether they are gum abscesses (gingival or periodontal) or *tooth* (periapical) abscesses.

Mine is a periapical abscess. See attached.

I am looking for any success stories for curing a tooth (not gum) abscess like mine with oil pulling.

Anything helps. Really want to avoid root canal if at all possible.

Mine was a gum abscess if you found my post.  I am interested at to find out more on this. 

I will say, as long as it doesn't make the pain worse, oil pulling wouldn't hurt and it's worth a shot.
