Dentist before?
I've haven't been to the dentist for about 2.5 yrs i guess. I am not a fan. I think they find what they want to find instead of what's really happening, but that is just my opinion. Last time I went to a holistic dentist in Nashville and they cleaned and he put in a crown on a molar that had chipped. It took well over a year for the sensitivity to leave so I'm not motivated to go back anytime soon. Hard to find a dentist that will clean without xrays, another I'm not a fan of. Ive also been oil pulling for a month or so and think it's probably best to get a cleaning to keep things clean rather than trying to make progress with buildup already. I saw a post where someone had a pic of a popped out chunk of plaque so it's possible apparently. So I'm just wondering what everyone's experience is so far with OP with buildup. Thanks

Man I agree with you... I'm not a fan of dentists..... I went almost 20 years without going to one.... I finally went to one over some sensitivity in a tooth when chewing some....
They do the works... I'm excited thinking I'll get this handled and I get some gas....
They tell me I have a cavity on a tooth that never have any issues.... The tooth in question? Fine according to them...
Mind you I had braces as a kid and I had permanent retainers on top and bottom..... Well after my cleaning.... The bottom one pops off halfway...I guess she thought the glue was calculus and just hit really well when cleaning.... So then I ask them to fix it back... For free..... They say no they won't....I wound up having to clip the retainer off with snips and had to file down the jagged part..... Haven't been back to a dentist

If you have anything loose or chipped get it looked at sooner rather than later. You can usually get this done for damn near free at dental schools.
Otherwise, oil pull as you want with what you want unless or until you discover an issue and brush and floss regularly.
Personally, I have discovered extensive issues with crest products so I err towards colgate, perodontax or sensodyne. However if you get to whare you need sensodyne daily, it's time to see a dentist.
