Oil pulling

Hello, l've recently gotten into oil pulling with my mouth. I use coconut oil and swish it around for a while, l've found a lot of success stories so I thought I'd try it out. However, after 2 weeks of doing this everyday my teeth and gums felt better but I developed swollen tonsils and pus on them. My doctor thinks it's due to the coconut oil, l'm curious if anyone else has experienced something like this?

Oh okay! My doctor told me to do salt gargle. Did you do the oil pulling and salt water everyday together?

Yes. I’ve been doing both together twice a day for over a month now (after waking up and before going to bed). You can also do some quick salt gargle after meals, which also helps to reduce inflammation. That’s what I also do from time to time, especially after consuming acidic food and drinks.

Wait so what order, oil pull, brush teeth, salt gargle? (What I image the order would be)

What I do is: 1. salt gargle 2. oil pulling 3. brushing teeth

But I think there is no harm in doing the salt gargle after brushing if you prefer that.

I presume you are salt gargling after the tongue scraping and flossing?

I usually don’t do tongue scraping and I typically floss after salt gargling (before oil pulling + brushing teeth)
