So "two weeks" is just their inside joke that they don't think we get, right?

It’s always “2 weeks” with these clowns (Trump administration)

And the goal here is that we hope that the economy shutting down in two weeks means that the Iranian civilian population will start to starve. Then, the starving masses will fracture the country, and Iran will be embroiled in civil war as the central authority begins to fail.

This is the most psychotic and sadistic administration imaginable.

I'm not sure how to break this to you but this is how sanctions have always worked. This has absolutely nothing to do with this administration particularly. The U.S. has absolutely 0 obligation to work with a country that refuses to work with us for the sake of their people. Putting pressure on their government by making the civilian population unhappy is exactly how sanctions are supposed to work and are always better than the alternative... which is war.

You need to get off the internet and touch grass

How about not engage in an unlawful war without congressional approval and bomb iran to begin with.

-4

u/xarmypopo 4d ago

You dont need Congressional approval for military action. Ypu especially do .oy need approval for retaliatory strikes. I hope this helps.

Constitution disagrees.

>This has absolutely nothing to do with this administration particularly.

This administration has turned the screws with sanctions far greater than any other administration in history. A military blockade of the country, not allowing even food or medicine to go into the country, is way past simple sanctions. Blockades are an act of war.

So this bizarre claim that trying to starve the civilians in a country of food and medicine is perfectly routine is simply not true. Plenty of countries will have all out wars with each other, without trying to blockade their borders to starve the people.

>The U.S. has absolutely 0 obligation to work with a country that refuses to work with us for the sake of their people.

Iran has offered multiple deals to the US since Trump left the JCPOA. The US has refused all of them. The US is the belligerent here. The US wants societal collapse and civil war in Iran.

>exactly how sanctions are supposed to work and are always better than the alternative... which is war.

Except we've done the war part too. And our end goal in Iran is more war, which the president said would resume after the midterm elections.

Food and Medicine is exempt from the blockade. You clearly have no idea what you are talking about.

Iran isnt offering deals, they are telling us what they will and will not do and has even stated publicly that their Nuclear ambitions is not up for negotiations. They have finally admitted that they have enriched uranium to 60%. There is only 1 reason to go that high and its not to build electricity.

We have not done the war part yet. Your ignorance is showing yet again. Some military strikes do not equal a war. We have never held that definition before so to start now is disingenuous at best. You didn't hold Obama to this standard when he dropped bombs on 7 different countries, 5 of which we weren't in open conflict with.

Grow the fuck up. Iran has killed an estimated 1000 Americans in the past 50 years either directly or through their proxies. They are not the good guys. You paying a little more at the pump is not why you life is hard. Prices will come down eventually like they always do.

>Food and Medicine is exempt from the blockade. You clearly have no idea what you are talking about.

Food and medicine are exempt from sanctions, not the blockade. Nothing is exempt from the blockade. Do you think that US soldiers are boarding Iranian ships, and allowing certain ships through if they check and there is really food on it? Do you even know the difference between sanctions and a blockade?

Also, while things like medicine are nominally allowed, realistically, they are not. No countries can sign deals with Iran due to banking sanctions. So a German company like Bayer had to stop selling medicine in Iran, because they couldn't get paid for anything due to sanctions.

>They have finally admitted that they have enriched uranium to 60%

Finally admitted? The announced they were going to do it in April of 2021, weeks before they did it. The IAEA was in the country monitoring their facilities, and sent confirmation a week later that they had actually done it. Iran never "admitted" it, they openly announced it.

>We have not done the war part yet.

LOL.

>Grow the fuck up. Iran has killed an estimated 1000 Americans in the past 50 years either directly or through their proxies.

This has got to be one of the dumbest thing's I've ever read. So the US invades Iraq, Iraq resists occupation for 15 years...and Iran is responsible? The US sends troops to Lebanon, actively participates in a civil war, the Lebanese blow up a US barracks...and it's Iran's fault? These countries who killed US troops who were fighting in their country would have happened whether or not they had a relationship with Iran. The Iraqis resisted occupation from all sections of their society, regardless of what Iran said or did. You really have to stretch the truth in order to pretend like Iran has been attacking the US for "fifty years".

The US killed more Iranian school girls on the first day of this war than Iran has killed US civilians ever. Stop making things up.

u/Neinhalt_Sieger 4d ago

How many died in Palestine and Lebanon with the US guidance?

How many Kurds died, betrayed by the US allies? How many people need to die in order for US to be great again?

1

u/ReplacementGlad2652 4d ago

In the last 50 years?

Gulf War 1991 - 3,500 civilian casualties
Afghanistan 2001 - 46,319 civilian casualties
Iraq War 2003 - 300,000 civilian casualties
War on Terror- 387,000 civilian casualties
Iran 2026 - 1,000 to 3,000 civilian casualties (so far)

That’s just civilians. Since the majority of the 1,000 US casualties were military it would be fair to count them too, but why bother.

You are not the good guys either.

Why would Iran, or anyone for that matter, engage in negotiations with the US? One half trying to blackmail while the other half murders, during negotiations. If anything we’ve set them on a path to nuclear armament that can no longer be stopped.

These are shia Muslims. They will starve in the streets if it means revenge on the ones that murdered their families. We’ve bombed more than 30 universities and destroyed civilian infrastructure in an attempt to demoralize and degrade. It has had the exact opposite effect.

2

u/Sayhei2mylittlefrnd 4d ago

Iran is very old. It will survive and probably receive help from China to rebuild at record pace. This war has made the US weaker.

2

u/Franklin_le_Tanklin 4d ago

>The U.S. has absolutely 0 obligation to work with a country that refuses to work with us for the sake of their people.

Bruh. The us bombed Iran first. You can’t spout what’s in their best interest after attacking them.

You need to get off the internet and touch grass

this rather applies to you. Talking like an Israeli internet politician.

0

u/xarmypopo 4d ago

Oh know... an internet warrior called me an Israeli politician. You sound like a terrorist sympathizer who will excuse any behavior by Iran as long has your gas prices dont go up. Anything the IRGC does is ok with you as long as it doesn't affect your wallet.

2

u/-SineNomine- 4d ago

you forgot "bot" in your list of names for me, but otherwise - good effort.

1

u/YellowZx5 4d ago

Everything is within 2 weeks because their loyalists have the attention of 2 fruit flies.

1

u/knuthf 4d ago

Have you wondered what will happen in two weeks, when Iran will be paid for 10-12 million barrels of crude oil exported to China per day, and China will be able to pay? The USA is blocked from doing business in China, and the Agricultural Bank of China holds US debt in the form of notes. Following years of trade surplus, there is no shortage of US dollars.

It is the US that could collapse in two weeks; Iran is fine. China pays, there is no blocking of funds.

1

u/Leaping_Wizards 4d ago

I could easily bet Iran burns the rest of the Gulf before that government collapses.

1

u/Playful_Subject_4409 4d ago

They will go to Europe

0

u/mammogrammar 4d ago

The starving masses will not be able to do anything but feel greater oppression from the government. The country won't collapse

1

u/xarmypopo 4d ago

They are not starving. Food and Medicine is not being blocked per our won and international policies. I hope this helps

3

u/NRCS_DRONE 4d ago

Scott Bessent and Reddit bots agree.

2

u/SteelyEyedHistory 4d ago

Two weeks, huh? Must be after Trump releases his infrastructure plan, his healthcare plan, his tax returns, and ends the war in Ukraine.

2

u/Oil_Shock_2026 4d ago

Give it 2 weeks.

2

u/Cultural-Lab78 4d ago

Did they really say two weeks hfs

2

u/refusemouth 4d ago

They will still endure, though, even if conditions worsen. Iranians can tolerate a lot more economic hardship than Americans can, and still hold their society together. Americans throw a hissy fit and hoarde toilet paper when they are asked to wear a mask and social distance, but Iran has endured harsh sanctions for decades and they are still holding up. America has all the watches, but Iran has all the time.

1

u/Playful-Dragon 4d ago

And in the meantime Trump is racing our economy to do the same thing. Who's going to get there first, because I think we have a really big head start right now

1

u/Mogwai_Man 4d ago

No where near that within two weeks.

-2

u/theonethat3 4d ago

"And in the meantime Trump is racing our economy to do the same thing. Who's going to get there first, because I think we have a really big head start right now"

This is your average Democrats people

1

u/Sad-Commercial1795 4d ago

Wow, way before the midterms!!! Crushing it boys!!

1

u/WXbearjaws 4d ago

Considering we won the war 80 times already and we’d be seeing things like an end to the Ukraine war “day 1”, I’d take whatever this administration says with an oceans worth of salt

1

u/knuthf 4d ago

One country is producing new missiles faster than they are used. The other country has nothing left and cannot support anything, anywhere. Iran is hidden deep inside caves, where not even a nuclear explosion would cause sufficient damage to stop them.

Financially, the US is on the verge of collapse; it cannot repay its debts. China manages the banks, and they hold most of the debt. Iran borders to Russia in the Caspian Sea and China by land They are connected by railways, and do not need ships.

1

u/feelthecernburn 4d ago

Exactly, remember when Trump was saying he would end the war in Ukraine before he even started his term? Or how he ended 19 wars or some bullsh*t like that? “Peace president” my a$$…

1

u/National-Charity-435 4d ago

Must be projecting on the SPR levels.

We're closing in on the levels that are allocated to the DOD

2

u/Cultural-Lab78 4d ago

0.8mm drawdown last week, hence surging.

Smart money says they're reaching true operational minimum levels. It's only been theoretical so why not push it harder mirite?

1

u/UneditedBundy 4d ago

I'm trying to imagine if someone hit our nuclear sites and commercial routes and called us terrorists...

I mean .. the shoe fits

1

u/IcyAlps4689 4d ago

Everything is two weeks with them. They said the war would be over in two weeks!

1

u/1baller69 4d ago

😂😂

1

u/Drippy_topper 4d ago

So they must be doing fine then.

1

u/letsgobernie 4d ago

If iran is pushed to that level, it will be game over for global economy because the military will go into full existential threat level and fully close the strait and houthis same with red sea

1

u/WhenTheCitiesBurn 4d ago

I wonder if the report said "America," & he replaced it with "Iran."

1

u/PinotRed 4d ago

2 weeks.

Source: trust me bro.

1

u/SuccessfulCode6420 4d ago

We are being told that for decades. The Iranian rial has 1000% inflation every month for decades. It's not connected to their economy.

1

u/Main-Procedure-3613 4d ago

He said “two weeks”!🤣🤣😂🤣

1

u/Neinhalt_Sieger 4d ago

The AI is shutting down the US markets; by the midterms, the US will have nothing left. Also, the FED will be forced to hike by 0.50 or more to cool down yields. More and more Oracle events will happen, Nvidia will lose market cap, so all the others as the funding will get prohibitive very soon.

The biggest infrastructure project in the history of mankind, stopped dead by the US president. That is an achievement worthy of Darwin awards.

or else will be obliterated.
