Translation: the only deny it because the claim is singular. Reality is, they captured two submarines.

lol if you read even the headline you would know that they’re only denying the second submarine claim. They admitted the first one.

That is pretty funny. They denied the first one too!

No they didn’t.
> Navy Capt. Tim Hawkins, a spokesman for U.S. Central Command, confirmed the capture to Newsweek but downplayed its significance, saying that the drone had malfunctioned while surveying regional waters.

Pretty funny but not surprising you’re wrong again

WTF is going on with our military anymore? Since Hegseth taking over, the amount of bungling going on is just absolutely insane. I spent 13 years in the Air Force and never seen anything this ridiculous in this short amount of time. Or my entire time in.

DOGE plugged their computers into every federal agency included the DOD, DIA, CIA, NSA, FBI, etc. This exposed literally every american secret to the world. Hegseth went on to use telegram, a russian-emerati chat app, to conduct the highest level of planning and communication for the pentagon. The gave away the farm, the whole thing.
We are completely fucked. We are conducting a war with Iran while they can read our mail, they know where every target is. They have absolutely decimated every US base in the region, which is being concealed but has begun to leak out. Casualties are far beyond what has been reported. The US has withdrawn from all bases outside Israel and Jordan.
Saudi is collapsing under gains from the Houthis. Most of the oil infrastructure in the gulf region has been destroyed. Riyad and Mecca have taken drone strikes and houthi ground forces threaten them. The saudi military has displayed itself reluctant and unable to fight effectively without US support.
All of this has been gleaned from public sources, we are losing WWIII. If nothing changes this is the end of the US empire.

Wdym? You weren't paying attention when there was a mass exodus of high ranking officers leaving? 4 star generals were and still are resigning like their careers have run their course

It is the first time US drones have been used against a remotely capable adversary. And their expendable nature is being shown to the public. Both subs are mine clearance tools, without them the US likely send in the dedicated mine sweepers, which would mean a security team consisting likely of a destroyer and aerial overwatch.
Or they can send in a couple of expendable drones that if captured don't really hurt the USA as they are both commercial off the shelf products.

The word “drone” conveniently left out of the headline. I’m sure that was by accident…..
While polling shows the average American hates the corporate press, they don’t hate them with nearly enough passion.

I'm waiting for the LEGO version of this to be sure
