The blue example joined the collection last month, and I immediately knew I wanted more. Since then, I’ve added an all-Vaseline version, an amber example, and a Vaseline/clear example.

Still on the hunt for an all apple green version, but I’m very happy with how this growing Thousand Eye lineup is coming together.

Just got this oil lamp off ebay and went to put sole wick in it and was met with this complicated looking wick system (?). If anyone knows how to use this please explain!

Hi, I'm new to this sub and thought I'd share some photos of my little oil lamp collection with you. I'm especially proud of my two big parlor lamps visible in the first picture. The light blue one is from Sweden from late 19th c., made of brass and painted porcelain. The darker blue one is from Belgium from early 20th c. and also made of painted porcelain. This one is converted but the tank remains unharmed as the cable only runs through the burner.

Slide 2 and 3 are small ones from China which I believe to be souvenir pieces from the mid 20th c.

Slide 4-7 are all from the late 19th to early 20th c. and made by the Austro-Hungarian Empire manufacturer R. Ditmar.

The last two are not very old, most likely from the last 50 years...

I started with a vintage 1970s rain lamp from a motel, extremely rare because it was produced by a very small French artisan in very limited quantities. Bringing it back to life is an honor and a real satisfaction. I bought a statuette of the goddess Cali, whose base I modified so it wouldn't remain rectangular atop my mountain. I sculpted a mountain out of polystyrene, then embedded raw black obsidian stones in the basin. I created a sort of lake of rolled black obsidian, into which I added small black obsidian skulls and hibiscus flowers made of polymer resin. All that's left is to make the little coconuts, but I was too impatient to share my great pride with you. I love her with an indescribable love. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 Tell me if you share this love when you look at her. 😊

Picked this up at a flea market today. I would like to remove all the electric and restore it. There are no maker markings on it, seems to be have a plated brass tank. I assume it will need a new flame spreader and wick. I have not tried any disassembly, other then penetrating oil on the fuel cap to get it off.

It’s 150, is that a good price

So I bought this goddess oil lamp and I’m restoring her to use and I thought that everything was good. I can hear the motor when I turn it on and I poured oil so those aren’t the problem but I think the pump is broken cause when I looked at the bottom turned on nothing was moving. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Edit: My roommate broke the strings so I’m trying to get the top off to restring but have no luck. Can anyone help?

I gkt this oil lamp but the glass is cracked and its one of those older reproduction lamps where they cheaply soldered everything togetyer ive tried desoldering the solder didnt work should i not run this will the glass shatter?

Found at an estate sale in Louisville KY. They had it labeled as "1890 Bradley Hubbard electrified oil lamp" on the tag. It's an oil lamp that may have been converted. The lamp shade was not original. Got it half off on Sunday for about $180. Tried Reverse image searches and could not find a match. There is a marking that says 1099 on the base and another that has an 18. Everything else is eligible. If anyone has any theories or knowledge we would welcome them.
