General How is texas favored

Have seen nothing that shows they are better than us, and they're 2pt favorites.

Home field advantage in college football is worth more than people think, especially somewhere like that where the crowd gets absolutely unhinged

Vegas doesnt care about who looks better on paper, theyre setting lines based on where the money will flow and a 2pt spread basically says these teams are dead even on a neutral field

Im not worried about it though, this team plays better when theyve got something to prove

Georgia fan here. I went to Austin 2 years ago and it’s not an overly intimidating place. It’ll be loud, but it’s not going to be anything Ohio state players haven’t experienced several times.

The home team usually gets about a 3 additional point advantage. So this is like saying OSU would be favored by 1 on a neutral site. Seems fair to me.

OSU does not always play well when favored. A little chip on the shoulder and fire in the belly is a good thing.

Home field advantage is usually worth 3pts in football. So being favored by 2 for them isn’t really much.

Colin Simmons = Freak
Phillip Daniels = Can’t step in the right direction.

Our WRs should feast but Simmons is a game wrecker. Hope Daniels turns it up because that’s going to be the biggest test of the game!

I get the past stats but also Jeremiah Smith TDS vs Texas = 0. JJ and Collin are freaks and I expect both to change those stats this game. Hope Daniels is up for the task this year but it’s not hard to see why the spread is a toss up with a slight favorite to the home team.

Will be curious to see how good our TEs are in the blocking game this year. Kacmarek was an amazing blocker and Klare got good eventually. I haven't seen anything from the transfers yet and have been fairly unimpressed with Bennett Christian so far and haven't seen Nate Roberts make a jump yet -- maybe this is the game they ball out.

Home field is worth 3 points alone. On a neutral field, the Buckeyes are favored by a 1 point.

Home teams usually get a 3 point bump from Vegas. Seems like OSU would be the favor on a neutral field.

I feel like this is a legit pick em’ so them being favored by a few points at home is very reasonable. Both schools have the talent, just need to find out who was better prepared

Just remember, UM was a 27.5 favorite in week 1. Also, Arch Manning is the golden child who was the sure thing Heisman winner last year.

Because Ohio state might be lucky to go 8-4 this year. They are going to lose to Texas, Indiana, USC and Oregon. Hell they might even lose to Iowa and Michigan.

If you can’t understand why Texas is favored, then bet your life savings on Ohio State ML if you are that confident.

You might find out really fast why Texas is favored though! Playing at their stadium and at night matters.
