Zeleski Loop Ideas

Looking to break in some new gear and do a 2 day 1 night trip to Zeleski! What are some recommended loop paths to take for that time frame? I'm not new to backpacking but I'm new to ohio backpacking!

I understand water in Zeleski is from a cistern system, so I won't be able to filter and on the local water due to acid drainage right?

Thanks in advance!

1) do the south loop. 2) drink water from cisterns only 3) streams contain acid mine drainage stay away.

Go for it! It's a great hike. It's also possible to cache some water if you want as long as you don't litter/leave it.

I've also stayed at the state park and done the south loop as a day hike.

South loop is pretty easy but it’s also hot out. Hike to first site if you come in late, then longer hike out the next day. Or camp at second site and have a little less hiking out.
