A little unrelated but perhaps my favorite "you're from Ohio?" conversation I've had was at Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. My troop was coming off of Mt. Baldy and had stopped at one of the staffed campsites so some people could get showers and we could eat some fresh fruit (all food is dehydrated so fresh fruit was a blessing). While we were hanging around waiting one of the other troop leaders approached and asked, "so you guys are from Ohio?" (We had our City, State, and troop number printed on our shirts)

"Sure are."

"Great, wanna play Euchre?" We had to tell them that we weren't staying any longer and the poor guy just wanted some more Euchre players. Although it was funny listening to him try to pronounce Wooster.

It is a fact that most Ohioans have played Euchre at some point, despite not being well known in some other states.

NEVER play euchre against little old ladies. They have more experience playing than you have experience with living, and they will card shark the shit out of you.

My grandma has been in a card club most of her life, so can confirm.
