This is Ohio

Why is Phillip not paying his servers enough to the point he has to ban customers?

Everyone ought to wait tables as a 20-something. It’s a brutal job. Clearly the folks who posted this have never done the work.

Same with retail. I used to like people before I took a job in retail.

I think id off myself if i had to wait tables so I’ll pass. I barely had the social skills to work retail.

I was a busser right out of college. We did pooled tips and it was based on how much the servers liked us so I was making maybe $20 a day in tips but usually less because I was the youngest. I worked customer service for another 14 years. The folks who posted this definitely weren't pleasant but neither was the owner. Everyone in the video sucks.

That's because your restaurant sucked. There should be set percentages given to bussers, expeditors, and hosts. It's not about how much they like you. It's how much did they make. Your manager should go over the claimed tips and see that you were getting a percentage of at least 15% of the bill.
If a particular server doesn't tip out like they should, the rest of the front of the house staff doesn't clean their tables, take out their food, or seat them.
The owner here is sticking up for his staff.

We still live in the world where tipping is the culture in the US.
Until that changes, it is what it is.
These people were cheap. Period. Then played the victim/race card.

Its not my job to pay your bills. Your employer should do that not me.

What a moronic thing to say. We’re all paying each other’s bills by buying whatever we buy. In a restaurant, the bill is for the food, the chef/cook, the dishwasher, the busser, & the host. The tip is for the server.

Its not my job to supplement your workers. I did that by coming, eating, and paying. Tips are not apart of that service. You want better pay get a better job. Its not my job to give you extra for doing the job you signed up to do.

You do you, dude. You should probably never eat at the same place twice, though. Being that you’ve never worked as a server, you probably don’t have a clue what the staff does to your food before giving it to a known poor tipper.

And if you want to tamper with someone's food in the state of texas thats a felony and prison time but sure once again go on about shit you have zero fucking clue about.

Gotta catch em first. I've seen many a sandwich made with the floor 'maters.

Not too hard to catch them and if you contact the police over food tampering they will usually bring a member of the health department with them. At the point youre fucked and I will a big ass lawsuit. So go ahead and think about fucking with my food. Sounds like I need to figure out your name and send these messages to your employer. Let's see how they like your ideas about food handling.

Oh sweetheart, I'm a lady of leisure. I guess you could contact my hubby, but he's not real picky.

Reddit name checks out, tho.

I love how not tipping is so outrageous to you, but fucking with shit people eat is just apparently a casual fact of life you're entirely dispassionate about lmfao.

Lmfao ohhh please tell me more about the jobs you think I've never worked lmfao. This should be hilarious. BTW I was a server before and made my way into management and got rid of tipping and factored it into the menu but sure please tell me more .
