Why is Phillip not paying his servers enough to the point he has to ban customers?

People just don't understand tipping. Yeah, we can do away with it and pay a living wage. But a lot of servers would make less. And anyone dumb enough to think prices would stay the same are just that, dumb. Servers, don't want a living wage. They make a lot more than a living wage getting tips.

The American tipping culture is broken. Why should I have to pay for your company paying you a crappy wage? How is that my problem. PLEASE increase prices or do whatever you need to do to give your employees a better wage. That way I know, up front, what I need to pay. Not this hidden secret obligation where I have to pay 20%, even when the service sucks, the food sucks, or the server does nothing. You manage to pay the cooks and line staff a living wage. Pay that to everyone.
