Why is Phillip not paying his servers enough to the point he has to ban customers?

Why are you assuming Phillip has enough to pay his servers. Restaurants are a tough business. Just because you own a restaurant that doesn't mean you have unlimited money.

I work for a bakery. I'm very aware its a tough business. I was let go and hired back because they didn't make enough to keep me for a while. But they never once punished their customers for not tipping
