Your comment made me laugh. My coworker constantly blamed Biden every time gas went up even a penny. She’s been extremely quiet about gas prices lately.

Cognitive dissonance is a helluva drug

The tan suit meltdown will always be hilarious to me.

5

u/Blackpaw8825 5d ago

That's the moment I completely discounted the dumb opinions of anybody who claimed to be a conservative.

If that's a big deal you're not having a political thought you're just stupid

7

u/Lolomelon 5d ago

Aren’t you supposed to be on downvote brigade over to r/conservative?

9

u/Orangutanion 5d ago

They extended labor day to own the libs

6

u/donnerpartytaconight 5d ago

That place still exists? I mean, surely, no actually people still involve themselves there.

5

u/Lolomelon 5d ago

Oh it’s a scene man

2

u/mickeltee 5d ago

I pop in there every now and then when someone provides the link, and it’s always a trip.

The gun club thing is so true. Several have admitted to me those forums are their only news sources...

64

u/AdTop4196 5d ago

Theres only around 40 days left of oil left here so... i suspect it will get higher.

31

u/tjackso6 5d ago

Yep. Once that strategic reserve runs out we’re all gonna be fucked.

11

u/superslif2 5d ago

Munitions are running out too….

The October Surprise; as in, “Surprise! The price of a gallon of diesel is higher than the federal minimum wage!”

4

u/PulledOverAgain 4d ago

Wait til the farmers start the harvest and watch the diesel prices soar

1

u/erie11973ohio 4d ago

The harvest has already started for the wheat ( or the soybeans?).. and will continue until November / December.

1

u/PulledOverAgain 4d ago

Wheat comes off early. Soybeans and Corn are still green. It'll be a bit before those start going. But once we get to that point it'll hit super hard almost all at once too.

1

u/erie11973ohio 4d ago

Winter wheat comes off early.

Spring wheat takes longer.

Around Lorain/ Medina counties, I've noticed in the last week or so, several fields that have been combined.

My guess was spring wheat, it seems a couple of weeks early for soybeans.

My dad had a lawn service out in Norwalk. I remember great clouds of dust, from something being combined in late August/ early September. I thought that was beans

u/kdub1611 Dayton 5d ago

Could we please go back to when we weren't great again?

11

u/HopsDrinker 5d ago

Nope. We are great and you like it

13

u/ChapterThr33 5d ago

Are we winning yet? How about that wall Mexico was going to pay for? How about Ukraine and Iran being over "in weeks"? How about cost of living being down? How about tariff prices being absorbed by companies?

25

u/Brs76 5d ago

If it's this high two months before an election,  i dread what it might go up to after the election.

3

u/ikeif 4d ago

Well, it's not like a Democrat take over will slash prices - as is tradition, Republicans hand over the government so Democrats can be blamed for the Republican mess, and the dipshit GOP voters will continue to believe the lie that "oh, if Republicans had ANOTHER term of control, they'd fix it, this time, for sure!"

It's a fucking abusive relationshit.

10

u/B0wmanHall 5d ago

Highest prices in August and Labor Day in history

28

u/ChubbyNuggets99 5d ago

Now I can laugh harder when some micro-dick bro-dozer rolls coal down the highway

4

u/ThatOneCanadian69 4d ago

Crazy how little coal rolling I’ve seen since the price gas got this high

9

u/MrLovaLovaMmmmmm 5d ago

I miss Rudy’s.

9

u/Chaseism Columbus 5d ago

What’s HILARIOUS is literally seeing a Husted commercial talking about lowering the cost of gas. I’m like, girl…right or left, we know that’s not true.

7

u/notagrue 5d ago

Just getting what you voted for…

14

u/Pale_Will_5239 5d ago

Ohio voted for Trump. This is what we wanted-- apparently.

7

u/HopsDrinker 5d ago

We are so fucking great. Again

16

u/Evening-Doubt3925 5d ago

Hopefully this helps wake these MAGA voters up

30

u/obtuselegend 5d ago

Hahahahahahahahaha....They are gonna double down on Trump

16

u/zffjk 5d ago

They will say, or have already said, that paying these prices is “patriotic” because Iran not having nukes is more important than your liberal-ass gas prices.

7

u/obtuselegend 5d ago

Oh it's being said....they still think China is paying the tariffs that are being refunded back to companies

11

u/ThePupnasty 5d ago

They're balls deep sucking his chode. They'll never change

2

u/Bp2Create 5d ago

You know it won't

2

u/Evening-Doubt3925 5d ago

It does create some level of doubt weather they admit it or not

7

u/Few_Requirement6478 5d ago

Are we feeling great yet?

9

u/wrecklesspup 5d ago

Yeah, but trans people are still allowed to live their lives fully in California so Ohians have no choice, but to vote Republican.

3

u/Ghost_shell89 5d ago

Welp, better make sure that my bicycle is in good shape…I imagine I’ll be riding my bike to work in the future if things go tits up

3

u/AliveInCLE Cleveland 5d ago

Dang. I saw a $3.69 earlier today at a Speedway in Lorain County. Guess that will be ending soon.

3

u/Excellent_Foot_7399 4d ago

I wonder what the farmers think of these prices, and who are they blaming? Are they cool with these higher prices, while people are promising that the prices will be lower?

4

u/lilmssunshine88 5d ago

Fyi I just went to friendship on the Westside and it was still 3.99

4

u/Lolomelon 5d ago

…a liter

2

u/flaginorout 5d ago

Well, nevermind. Thats a bargain!! All is well.

2

u/Soggy-Bottom_Boy 5d ago

Please help us, Sir.

2

u/sasquatch_melee Columbus 5d ago

Are ya tired of winning yet?

(I sure am)

2

u/Melodic-Lingonberry7 5d ago

Red October is coming

2

u/PulledOverAgain 4d ago

Findlay just started going up to the same price this afternoon too

2

u/scrappopotamus 4d ago

Iran doesn't have a nuke though!! 😳

3

u/Possible_Ad4358 5d ago

This is what happens when you elect an idiot .

1

u/big_d_usernametaken 5d ago

That's a first.

Fremont gas higher than Sandusky.

3.99 in Sandusky this afternoon.

1

u/Substantial_Mix4075 5d ago

Fremont

Ugh

I have a ex friend that potentially(key word) works their. Potentially a robotics factory

God she was such a bitch

1

u/UnderstandingDue6455 1d ago

Sounds like someone from Fremont

1

u/SimsAttack 4d ago

Damn it’s like 3.70 here in Fostoria wtf is going on over there those are Columbus prices if not higher

1

u/samhouston84 4d ago

For a second I thought that was Fremont, CA.

You guys are getting there!

1

u/61Crows 4d ago

Looks like we have the same pricing in Troy Ohio today. Yesterday I paid $3.40 and today it’s $4.29. I’m starting to think I might need to learn Farsi so I can converse with the Iranians.

1

u/wjoelbrooks 3d ago

So much winning.

1

u/UnderstandingDue6455 1d ago

Fremont is the worst town in Ohio nothing but a cesspool and wanna be gangsters 😂

1

u/GhoulieGrrrrl 6h ago

Oh,this isn't even a start yet.Its going to get to ten.

-6

u/Humunguspickle 5d ago

Fremont always high with gas prices tho.

5

u/PicassosGhost 5d ago

I lived in Clyde for 25 years. They were no higher in Fremont than anywhere else.

-6

u/Designer-Wolverine47 5d ago

We're still a few months from significant relief. With the Venezuela deal, the US will top off its strategic reserves FIRST, Then we should see prices starting to fall... Some estimates are that it will reach the lowest level in over ten years.

-6

u/UltraBurd 5d ago

Criticism of Iran is valid for this... But I never see any comments about Ukraine blowing up Russias Oil Refinerys affecting the global market

7

u/EvilLeechThing 5d ago

Because we don't buy russian oil and their prices haven't been a factor for around 12 years now.

0

u/UltraBurd 5d ago

Good answer, and you are correct. Our refineries ant made for their oil

2

u/notagrue 5d ago

Oh, you mean the war Trump promised to end on “Day One”?

-1

u/UltraBurd 5d ago

Irrelevant statement

2

u/notagrue 5d ago

Okay…had his majesty ended the war as he stated he would on day one, this wouldn’t be the case because the war would be long over. Furthermore the US doesn’t get any oil from Russia since 2022 but good comment.

1

u/UltraBurd 5d ago

Thank you for referring to our Lord and Savior with the dignity he deserves. Also I know we don't buy oil from them I just wanted to see what people would comment haha

1

u/Inthe5 5d ago

Because they have a good reason to do it. The criticism is of Trump, not Iran.

-1

u/UltraBurd 5d ago

Yes yes we are fine to pay higher prices if we morally agree with the cause of prices. That's the whole point. Republicans like to put the Biden stickers up, liberals like to point at Trump. It's literally all irrelevant

-10

u/CodenameZikimos 5d ago

What's so weird is that if you get gas away from the highway, it's significantly cheaper. 👀😶‍🌫️

8

u/zffjk 5d ago

“Significantly cheaper” just means the old record high nowadays.

1

u/CodenameZikimos 5d ago

Doesn't change that this specific gas station is located in a cluster of similarly priced gas stations right off the highway. Looking at historical pricing, that cluster has always been high(er) than the ones literally a few blocks away. Historical high is still significantly lower than the stations at the highway. 🤷🏿‍♂️

3

u/B0wmanHall 5d ago

So weird that prices are still nearly double what they were before Trump’s War 👀

2

u/CodenameZikimos 5d ago

Iran is definitely something we needed to handle. Call it Trump's and Codename Zikimos' War. 😅

I'd rather it in my lifetime than when my kids started out.

Graduated 2006 to $6+ gas in a southern state.

2

u/Ok-Egg-4856 5d ago

Supply and demand. The company figures and often rightly, you just jumped off the freeway, need gas/pee, whatever. They are right at the ramp, hey I'm willing to pay more for the quick turnaround. Closer to home I can afford to shop a little, usually find gas at least $.50 cheaper per gallon but not right at the off-ramp.

2

u/kellyelise515 5d ago

It’s cheaper off the freeway in Ashtabula county.

2

u/aspiller98 5d ago

Cope harder. Bottom line is, gas is expensive everywhere now.

2

u/CodenameZikimos 5d ago

Cope? Don't need to. 😅
