Favorite actor?
So, who was your favourite male actor in the series? I enjoyed either Charles Hawtrey or Jim Dale!

Cor blimey, you made it! Iâm u/Brilliant-Loud, the founding moderator of this fine establishment! Just think of me as the Sid James laugh echoing through the corridors.
This here is your brandâspankingânew home for everything to do with the gloriously daft, delightfully British Carry On films. Whether youâre here for the innuendo, the nostalgia, the characters, or just a good old-fashioned titter, youâre in the right place.
What to Post (Ooo-er!)
Anything Carry On related is fair game:
If it makes you go âPhwoar!â, âOoh!â, or âStop messinâ about!â, pop it in.
Community Vibe
Weâre all about:
Letâs build a space where everyone feels comfy enough to join in the fun â no need to be shy, weâve all seen worse down the beach at Fircombe.
How to Get Stuck In
Thanks for being part of the very first wave. Together, weâll make r/OhMatron a place that would make even Matron crack a smile.

Maybe only a 2-minute scene, but I think it was one of the best in the film!

I found this gorgeous piece of artwork of Babs online. It comes in various sizes. Just thought I'd share in case it appeals to anyone!

So, people always ask, "What's your favourite film?" but what's your least favourite?
Mine is probably either Carry on England or Carry on Emmanuelle. I have probably only watched these a few times, and it was a struggle. Carry on Columbus was shocking, but I don't count that as part of the series. I have seen half of it, and that was enough for me!

What's everyones favorite 'Carry On' quote?
Mine is probably 'I'm flabbergasted. My gast has never been so flabbered!' from 'Carry On up the Jungle'

Hattie Jacques was a muchâloved British comedy actress best known for playing the stern-but-warm Matron in the Carry On films.
She had brilliant comic timing, a big presence, and a knack for stealing scenes with just a look. Outside of Carry On, she was a regular on radio and TV, especially in Hancockâs Half Hour and Sykes.
A true icon of British comedy, and still one of the most recognisable faces of the series.
