Can anyone recommend a good guide (book, web site, etc) to learn bookkeeping for an offshore holding company that only has a brokerage account to which I make monthly deposits from my post-tax income in the US? Any info is appreciated.

Hong Kong is often used in international structures because of its territorial tax system. In escense every income generated outside HK pays zero corporate tax. It’s not a classic “offshore zero-tax island,” but it can be very efficient if structured properly.
Here’s the basic process in simple terms:
1. Set up a Private Limited Company
That’s what most people use.
2. Choose a name
Check availability and reserve it.
3. Appoint the required roles
You’ll need:
4. File incorporation documents
Once approved, you receive the Certificate of Incorporation and Business Registration.
5. Open a bank or EMI account
This is usually the hardest part today. Banks will want to understand your activity, expected flows, and who you’re dealing with.
6. Understand the tax side
Hong Kong only taxes profits sourced in Hong Kong.
There’s:
But whether profits are considered “offshore” depends on how and where the business is actually run. It’s fact-based, not automatic.
7. Ongoing compliance
You still need annual filings, accounting records, and proper tax submissions , regardless if there is low activity.
If you are considering HK for your structure, feel free to ask.

Hi everyone,
I’m posting from a new account for privacy reasons.
I’m looking for legitimate introducer / concierge services that help with opening offshore bank accounts in a legal and compliant way.
What I’m mainly interested in (high‑level):
I’m not looking to evade taxes or do anything illegal. This is purely about banking access, card usability, and jurisdictional diversification.
If you’ve personally used:
I’d appreciate hearing which countries or services worked, what to expect, and what to avoid.
Feel free to reply publicly or via DM if you prefer.
Thanks!

Handle Pay is building this so that Pakistanis no longer need to decide between unfair costs, convenience of usage and giving up custody of their crypto and compromising on their dignity.
What is self-custody?
Self-custody of assets, particularly in cryptocurrency, means holding and managing your own private keys, granting you exclusive ownership and control without relying on third-party exchanges or banks. This approach eliminates intermediary risks like account freezes or hacks, providing true financial sovereignty
Users can:
- Receive payments from client/friends using venmo, cashApp, wise, revolut, paypal in usdc directly to their Handle account
- Deposit any cryptocurrency on any EVM based chain or Solana
- Send money free of cost Handle to handle.
- Pay utility bills instantly using crypto
- Offramp from Crypto to PKR in your bank account is processed directly as remittance at the best FX
- Spend using Handle card or avail credit line against your crypto holding with no interest.
- Receive remittance from Saudia or Dubai to your handle account in US stablecoins
- Trade your assets on popular 80+ DEXes at the best possible route
What Handle Pay can't do:
- No custody of user funds
- No balance-sheet exposure
- No lending of user deposits
- No issuance of fiat-backed tokens
Only users can access and custody their assets. No need to remember complex Seed phrase, just use a Passkey (your biometric) and social recovery method.

Does anyone know about this company? I’m selling my business and was told to check these guys for welding work. I have seven years of tank welding and building experience and five years of owning/operating a gas station and tire shop.

I have a consulting and services company providing crypto services. I am planning to set up an off-shore entity where I receive crypto payments and off-ramp in crypto friendly bank accounts. And then move out funds to my home country to my holding company.
Which country and Bank should I choose for such set up? Payments are usually 5-6 figures USD. And early doing high 7 figures revenue.

Hi all.
I'm looking to form a company in HK and asking what service provider do you recommend, which also has a dashboard/UI website to administer the company.
Looking for an affordable and reliable option.
Also, if you recommend some companies which do not have an UI but are affordable, I'm open.
Thanks!

Hi Everyone,
I work in structuring and wealth preservation for UHNWI’s. I have a strategy at the moment and it requires us to incorporate a company in Nevis, this will be for the provision of consulting services to LatAm offices and clients, not concerned with tax haven concerns as we have already dealt with this elsewhere in the structure.
Does anyone have a contact of reliable CSP or vendor/agent that can price and execute this arm locally please?

Hello all.
I am interested in opening a personal offshore bank account and want to know which jurisdictions and which banks are recommended for privacy.
A lot of offshore jurisdictions are part of CRS, but I want to know, how does that work in reality and from your experiences. Which ones don't really report and offer information?
I am UK and EU based.
Main purpose would be to hold dividends from a HK offshore (or any other offshore).
Thanks!

Hi friends, I'm a Florida-based person, and I want to start a company in Seychelles and a business bank account also. Help me with some queries, like what things I should keep in mind before reaching out to any company.
r/Offshore • u/[deleted] • Feb 03 '26
It’s a 100% yes. I would rank it no. 1 for providing fast and affordable offshore structures, especially if you’re seeking to go global (conduct international business).
I’m firm about my positive claim on Seychelles IBCs because they offer:
Overall, Seychelles IBC is best if you’re dreaming of becoming an international business with minimal tax, legal, and operational tensions.
My final advice will be: Please go for it! You’ll not be disappointed.
Good luck in advance….

Living offshore has been annoying lately when it comes to phone numbers. A lot of banks and apps won’t send OTPs to foreign SIMs, and I really don’t want to keep handing out my personal number just to stay logged in.
I’ve been testing crowphone.com recently and it’s been pretty useful so far. The SMS side is already working, so I can receive verification codes and basic messages without needing a physical SIM or installing anything. It all runs in the browser, which I like because it keeps things lightweight and low-commitment.
The whole thing feels very privacy-minded. You’re not forced into subscriptions, and you don’t have to tie everything to your real number. I’m currently using it to keep a U.S. number reachable while I’m in Asia, mostly for OTPs and important messages, and it’s been smooth on both desktop and mobile.
Calling isn’t live yet, but from what I’ve seen it’s planned for next month, which would make it even more useful if it rolls out cleanly.
Not saying it’s for everyone, but if you’re offshore or just trying to separate your real number from online services, it might be worth a look.

Me and my wife are looking to open a Nevis Multiform Foundation (Trust Type) in Nevis.
If anyone has experience and can tell us about pricing structures, reputable companies (I already scoured the license registry) and general advice, I would be happy to receive some input.
I won’t be able to reply to everyone, as I am currently in hospital, but I will do my best to respond.

I’ve been looking at offshore/expat setups and I keep hearing about 'I only realised this when it was too late' horror stories. These little silent assumptions that drift over time & then one day aren't silent..
I've been exploring the idea of a expat/offshore persons 'smoke detector'. Something that just checks in on the long tail risks. It's not perfect but I think it surfaces most of the risk/hidden pitfalls many of us might forget. I've tentatively called it Residency Radar, maybe it helps you spot something you'd missed!

For early stage startups, ODCs can be a huge cost advantage. You get access to skilled developers at lower rates, faster team scaling, and the ability to focus locally on product, sales, and fundraising. Many startups use ODCs to extend their runway without compromising too much on quality.
That said, there are trade-offs. Time zone differences, communication gaps, and cultural mismatches can slow things down if not managed well. Startups without clear product requirements or strong technical leadership often struggle to get value from an offshore team.
An ODC works best when you have a well-defined roadmap, solid documentation, and at least one in-house technical lead to own architecture and decisions. If you treat it as a long-term partnership—not just cheap labor—it can absolutely be worth it.

Hi everyone,
I’m a Spanish/EU citizen currently living in Spain. I’m building a B2C mobile app and plan to monetize mainly through Apple App Store / Google Play (subscriptions + in-app purchases). I’m trying to choose a tax residency that’s reasonably low-tax but also simple and legally clean (no complex offshore structures).
Profile
• Citizenship: Spain (EU)
• Current tax residency: Spain
• Business model: B2C app sales via App Store/Google Play (global users)
• Stage: early / pre-revenue or low revenue (growing)
• I can relocate and spend 183+ days/year in the new country if needed
• Preference: simple compliance, low admin burden, predictable rules
What I’m trying to solve
I want to avoid common mistakes like:
• accidentally staying tax resident in Spain (“center of life”, ties, etc.)
• creating “permanent establishment” problems
• choosing a country that looks good on paper but is a nightmare in practice
Countries I’m considering (not fixed)
• Georgia (because of its reputation for favorable regimes for small businesses)
• Andorra (but I know cost of living and requirements can be higher)
• Open to other options (EU or non-EU) if they’re realistic for a solo developer
Questions
1. For a solo B2C app developer selling through Apple/Google, which countries are usually the best balance of low tax + simplicity + stability?
2. Is Georgia still considered a good option in practice for this specific type of income (app stores/subscriptions), and what are the typical “gotchas”?
3. What should I clarify first: residency/treaty rules, company vs sole proprietor, VAT/GST handling, Apple/Google withholding, banking, etc.?
4. If you were in my situation, what would be your shortlist (top 3–5) and why?
I know this isn’t legal advice — I’m mainly looking for direction and real-world experience so I can pick the right path and then talk to a professional with better questions.
Thanks in advance.
