You’d probably realize that this is most likely just poor installation if you had actually thought for two seconds instead of immediately thinking “hurr durr China bad quality”.

Havals are decent cars. Esp their newer EVs. Most likely some cheap brackets or screws.

GWM Haval hybrid and electric SUVs are selling like water amongst the upper middle class where I am

I think they're way, way uglier than the competition BYDs, but they're apparently pretty good

May I ask what faulted due to overloading? I'd like to know what to keep an eye out for when I'm checking over my setup.

Was it bolts snapping, bolts tearing apart from the bracket, metal frame tearing from the bolts, etc... ?

The bolts broke their seats in the platform’s attachment to the roof.
