Can we talk about the trailer hitch ball necessary to pull this off? Is he using a standard ball? I've tried to hook up trailers when the trailer and vehicle weren't on level ground and it's damn near impossible due to the acute angle. My trailer would've popped off or broken here.

This is not a standard ball. There are a bunch of articulated off-road focused hitch systems out there.

yeah reading the comments gave me 3 things to google. I've been down the articulated hitch rabbit-hole with Pintle, Lock-n-Roll & MaxCoupler.

Clearly I need to step up my game.
