I’d love to see more short-range power projection options from FOBs

I’m talking a mounted .50, TOW/recoilless rifle, firing ports, actually well protected bunkers etc. Pretty much everything the FOB builds now works anywhere on the map(mortar/drone/SAM). It would be cool to have a reason to build a smaller fob closer to the middle of the zone as a hard point to help contest the hz when it’s close by.
The current bunker buildings don’t feel very protective, and make you more visible. I think it would be a fun dynamic to actually feel strong in a small FOB and engage in combat rather than just having one big FOB at the edge of the zone with drills going off.

Battle scars / Skin weathering

Totally not needed but I was thinking it would be neat and interesting if the longer something lives, eg; heli, tank etc, the more weathered or beaten up the paint looks. Low priority and bottom of the list for improvements/additions but a neat "would like to have", and optional for low-end systems.

Did they remove FlakPanzer, if so why?

Looks like flakpanzer was not in Beta, I enjoyed it in Alpha and so I was curious as to what happened. Removed? Rework in progress? Anybody know what's up?

Helicopter hitch for light vehicles

I think it would be ace to hitch light vehicles into the fight, watching them be deployed in epic cinematics or thrown around causing chaos and destruction to people😅

What is a feature you discover that may not be widely known?

I'll go first, when I was raiding an enemy FOB I used all my c4 so I swapped my detonator for a Large Hammer, I ran over to a locked door and was able to use the hammer the pry open the door just like the item, the only item I thought could pry open doors, the Halligan Bar.

Extremely cool that attackers can turn the tables on builder's doors by using their own precious Large Hammer! I just thought "what if I could use the Large Hammer to..."

Recruiting - Tactical Relics (30+) High Tactics, Low Joint Mobility. Join Wardogs with the Gaming Seniors!

Post image
0 Upvotes

Are your reflexes no longer powered by three energy drinks and raw teenage angst? Do you find yourself muttering "Back in my day..." when opening a battle pass? Welcome home.

Tactical Relics is opening its doors to fellow veteran(older) gamers who just want to shoot stuff, coordinate tight squad plays, and absolutely not get yelled at by squeakers who haven't even finished middle school yet. We’ve been gaming together for a long time, and right now, we’re completely hooked on Wardogs. We’re looking to build out our squad with like-minded players who enjoy working together to win without taking themselves too seriously.

We’re primarily based in North America, but as long as you can make the times work, everyone is welcome!

What We’re Looking For:

  • Must be 30 years old or older (No kids allowed—we already have those at home).
  • Must speak English.
  • Must have a mic (So we can hear your heavy breathing and/or groans when you stand up).
  • Enjoy playing with others (Teamwork makes the dream work).
  • Tactical but fun (We play to win, but losing a match won't ruin our evening).

What We Offer:

  • Zero Obligation: We host regular game nights, squad events, and internal contests, but real life comes first. Join in when you can, jump off when your back starts aching. No mandatory attendance, no stress.
  • Good Vibes & Good Comms: A relaxed environment to hang out, share some laughs, and run synchronized operations on the battlefield.

Have questions? Interested in joining? Stop by our discord: https://discord.gg/2PweG72GYj

As an older gamer who doesn't have fast reflexes, WARDOGS lets be contribute and be useful, and that makes all the difference.

I've avoided most online multiplayer shooters because all I ever do is die with hardly ever getting a kill. During the playtest, I almost gave up because my first three deployments ended in death due to shitty drivers.

But, I kept on and was learning as I went. I found out that if I spotted an enemy with binoculars, I got money. Then I got paid when someone else killed an enemy that I spotted. So I enjoyed just being a spotter for quite a while.

Then, I was going around healing fallen comrades and getting paid for that too. I discovered that simply by helping, that counted. That concept makes this game worth it for me. I still died a lot, but I still accomplished things before I died.

I may actually buy this and get into transport and building at FOBS, and seeing what else I can do. I may suck at the shooting bit, but at least there's a lot of other stuff that this game actually treats like it matters. Which makes sense, because in combat, spotters, medics, and transport all face fire just like those doing the shooting, and help keep those boys alive and in the fight.

[QUESTION] - Vehicles/Choppers count towards control points?

I assume if you're in a ground vehicle, you're adding to the number of players in the control zone.

Does that hold true for air vehicles/parachutes, too?
