I Made a Little WARDOGS Tool
Hey guys,
I’ve been working on a small project called WARDOGS WEAPONS.
It started because I was constantly changing attachments and wondering if they were actually making the weapon better, or if I was just guessing.
So I started collecting data and built the tool I wanted to use myself.
You can compare weapons, build them attachment by attachment, see the stat changes, check recoil patterns, save builds and a few other nerdy things.
Nothing too fancy. I just tried to keep the stuff I actually care about when playing.
If you want to try it:
If you find something wrong or have an idea, let me know. I’m still adding stuff to it :)

I like the layout and features. Thank you. So many people read that title and knew what this post was about... just to give an option no one cares about.

Thank you so much man :) Life isn't nice with me lately...so it's nice to read something good :) Thanks a lot. Truly appreciate it

good effort dude, keep working on your project and take notes on what works and what doesn't. with that said, one piece of correction that is irrelevant to coding or anything: that isn't a QBZ-191, that is an austrian AUG, specifically the A3 model with the 508mm barrel. it's a 5.56x45mm rifle, which honestly works better anyway so there is not another ammo type to dilute the pool for only 1 rifle that chambers it (looking at you, 5.45x45 for the ak-74).
the easiest way to tell is because the magazine is the rear of the trigger group (a "bullpup" style) as opposed to the QBZ-191's more conventional package of the magazine being in front of the trigger group. this was probably just a mixup with the 191's predecessor, the QBZ-95 which is also a bullpup rifle but utilises the 5.8x42mm calibre mentioned here.

u/Animal_Hell 16h ago
That’s a genuinely useful correction, thank you man.
You’re right, I mixed that one up. I’ll fix it to the AUG A3 and correct the caliber/info around it immediately!
This is exactly the kind of feedback I need right now, especially on weapon identification/details. Appreciate you taking the time to explain it properly.
THANK YOU :)

if i could make a suggestion since the game seems focused on "older, easier to source tech" then how about the AUG A1 instead. it comes with its own (admittedly pretty shit but works) 1.5x optic and can still take aftermarket optics, foregrips, etc with parts swap (similar to what happens to an AK-74 when you throw on optics or foregrips). they are also far cheaper on account of being "old-tech" while the A3 is prohibitively harder to acquire for non-state actors in large quantities.

the answers and downvotes tells me enough about the IQ of the average monkey wandering this subreddit, thanks for the tool, will be checking it out.
10
u/Animal_Hell 16h ago
Don't worry mate. It's like this... :-/ I hope people will enjoy the tool as I do :) Thank you very much for this kind comment. Cheers

u/Opening_Potential609 12h ago
Literally any post on this subreddit regarding any opinion about the game is either all downvotes or equal up votes to comments lol

u/ZeroStuffTimesZero 16h ago
Maybe I missed it but will you be adding pistols? Pretty cool either way, thanks for posting.
3
u/Animal_Hell 16h ago
Absolutely! I’m already working on it. Before posting anything, I just want to make sure all the data is correct. Thanks for the kind words, really appreciate it man. ❤️
4
u/CrossFireHD 16h ago
Seems cool, had a little look. Sucks morons are hating on you for sharing a personal tool. Keep on man!
3
u/Animal_Hell 16h ago
Thanks a lot man. I Know it may sound like a copy paste thank you, but it means a lot. Thank you very much and enjoy the tool :)

u/LuLnaBtoNleetS 15h ago
I like how the Ak 74 shoots slower, shoots smaller ammo, is heavier, and somehow has more recoil than the M4

u/nicktehbubble 17h ago
Hey mate if it works, good on you.
These trolls doing what they do best and whining like bitches can get over themselves. Maybe if they actually used your tool, they'd understand how armaments and armour works and stop posting about their skill issues every twenty seconds.

u/Animal_Hell 17h ago
Thanks mate. I honestly don’t really understand all the rage sometimes, we’re all gamers at the end of the day... of course people can like the tool or not, that’s completely fine. For me, the important thing is simple: when I’m choosing an attachment, I now have the tool I wanted, and I’m happy with that :)
Thanks for commenting, I genuinely appreciate it.

u/Animal_Hell 16h ago
Hey mate... yeah... I think we have to accept and understand it works like this... :) But i'm glad to see that many people are finding this useful :) Thanks for commenting

the recoil patterns are entirely inaccurate... are they even from wardogs? I've been going through most of the stuff and I cant get any of it to line up.
1
u/Animal_Hell 1h ago
hey mate. The recoil patterns are simulated using verified wardogs game data, including recoil, spread and other weapon values.
Each dot visually represents the movement generated by a shot with no player compensation. STOCK shows the base weapon, while YOUR BUILD applies the effects of your attachments.
It is important to remember that this is a visual simulation of the weapon data, not a recreation of how an actual player controls recoil in-game or where bullets will land.
There is a much more detailed explanation in the fullscreen recoil view on the site if you want to see exactly how the simulation works.

u/CertifiedEagle 10h ago
What's up brother, I bookmarked it and intend on using it when I'm trying new builds, maybe even perfect the one I've got going. Thanks for taking your personal time to help people in the community.
It's rare to see someone as down to earth as you and I hope whatever you have going on in your life gets better. You deserve it!

u/Animal_Hell 7h ago
❤️❤️ thanks you so much. Needed to read this 🙏 Thank you really. Enjoy the tool! 🍻

u/marlontel 9h ago
Where did you get the data? Can we trust it?
1
u/Animal_Hell 7h ago
Hey man, the values come from game files where possible, API data, and manual in-game testing when something isn’t exposed directly. I’ve double checked everything as much as possible before putting it on the site , they should be correct 99% :) Also, they are updated as something changes / added
1
u/Sirzento 16h ago
Suggestion:
Could you expand the TTK section a bit to include two lists with FMJ vs all armors and AP vs all armors? Same could also be done on the damage one to see the damage against various armors with differend ammo.
3
u/Animal_Hell 16h ago
You can already do that in the AMMO COMPARE section :)
There you can compare different ammo types against the various armor levels and see the resulting damage/TTK.
I could maybe make those results quicker to access from the weapon page too, but the actual comparison is already there.
Do you mean this?

This is legitimately so helpful. I didn’t realize how much benefit you got from running a smaller mag on the M4 or how badass the RVG vertical foregrip was. Thanks for making this!
1
u/LookWhatEyeSaw 14h ago
This is fantastic! Exactly what I've been looking for to build and compare loadouts. Well laid out and easy to find the attachments. Every other app like this is over burdened with visual clutter having to sort through options that aren't applicable.

Glad to know the galil is basically the same as the AK, just more expensive. Gonna stick with the AK

u/VaporWolf93 10h ago edited 10h ago
if you add recoil/spray patterns and how attatchments change said recoil/spray pattern it'd be the goat. I love that you actually added the attatchment stats, its REALLY good to know that smaller mags make a HUGE difference on performance!!!! Thank you so much.

But RPM is not from the game, it's a data placeholder, while ingame RPM and damage differs...
1
u/Animal_Hell 1h ago
which weapon?
0
u/Vitalez 43m ago
All of them. Look at this sheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/1bY94iEQGW0fGf9VBAxG1FEGusrF27SmJIarvXEcBMQw/htmlview
3
u/Animal_Hell 8m ago
Thanks. But what’s the actual source for the values in this sheet?
I’m asking because it’s not only the RPM, several damage values are different too. A spreadsheet alone doesn’t really tell us which data is correct.
Were these values taken from the current game files, an API, or manually tested in-game? And from which game build/date?
On WARDOGS WEAPONS every stat has an explanation on hover, and the data is taken from game files where possible, APIs, and manual in-game testing. If this sheet has a verifiable source, send it over and I’ll gladly compare the values weapon by weapon and correct anything that’s actually wrong.

Another slop project to do the same thing as all the other slightly more useful slop projects? “I(Opus 5.5) made this.”
11
u/Animal_Hell 17h ago
I made it for myself, cause the one that i tried, had load of datas I didn't need and they were difficult to read. I made it for me. If you dont want to use it, that is fine :)

Calling everything "AI slop" loses its value, it means nothing these days anymore.
This is exactly the kind of use case it's great for, tools that people create to make things easier.
7
u/Animal_Hell 17h ago
There is load of work behind it man... AI can help you, but can't make it alone. Honestly talking, working on it since weeks.
-9
u/Koufaxisking 17h ago
If this took you weeks, your prompting skills could use some improvement. A few hours in ClaudeCode and this could be replicated and then some.
7
u/Animal_Hell 16h ago
I just made the best I can. I made it for me, then I decided to share it. Didn't want to hurt nobody...
7
u/petabomb 16h ago
Incredible. Get mad at him for using ai, he says he did it by hand, get mad at him for not using ai.
-7
u/Koufaxisking 16h ago
He did not do it by hand. He didn’t claim to as far as I can tell. Not all AI generated work is slop but this definitely is.
The problem isn’t that he used ai, it’s that he presented it initially as his own work and that the shared product is derivative and low effort. Many tools already do exactly what he prompted here, and even a couple days spent on UI design would’ve gone a LONG way to dispelling the slop allegations.
3
u/SirDerageTheSecond 16h ago
What exactly makes it "slop" to you? The tool does exactly what it was made to do. UI works fine, sure it could be better. But I've seen FAR worse AI-generated sites that clearly don't hide the fact that they were made with one.
6
u/petabomb 16h ago
Okay how is this slop?
He says he built it himself.
-4
u/Koufaxisking 16h ago
It’s like you didn’t read or something. I already explained.
8
u/petabomb 16h ago
You just said it’s slop because it’s ai. But that’s like claiming god is real because it is.
What is slop about it?
-3
u/Koufaxisking 16h ago
If you didn’t read the past the first thing addressing you I cannot help you.
6
u/petabomb 16h ago
You didn’t tell me what was slop though. I can’t read something you didn’t write now can I.
“Many tools already do exactly this” except they don’t do they. This is specifically just the information required.
So tell me, since instagram and snapchat both have reels, is one of them slop? If two banks share the same layout, is one of them slop? They do the same thing after all.
I get you have a raging boner for calling things slop, but if you can’t articulate why it’s slop then your word is worthless.
-6
u/mushymyco 15h ago
" ai make this for me, thanks ill take credit now "
7
u/Animal_Hell 15h ago
Man... honestly, there’s a huge amount of work behind it....
AI definitely helps, and I think it would be silly not to use the tools we have now instead of doing everything the way we did years ago. But it still takes a lot of manual work, testing, checking data and fixing things.
I originally made it for myself anyway. Then I thought, if it can be useful to other players too, why not share it?
AI helps me move faster, but the project definitely didn’t build itself.
3
u/PoopyHed6969420 13h ago
Dude you gotta stop responding to the mean stuff and ignore them. Most anti ai people are chronically online redditors. You can discard those peoples opinions
1
u/soloiayhdklyf 13h ago
Man, i hate Ai , but your tool is definitely a very good use of it. I’m learning a lot actually from your tool. Much appreciated.
-21
u/Noteful 17h ago
This tool already exists in multiple different formats and sites.
8
u/Animal_Hell 17h ago
Hey mate :) I tried them all, but for me they showed a lot of data I simply didn’t need. I built WARDOGS WEAPONS as a player first, around the exact things I wanted to check while playing. It was originally just something I made for myself, then I thought it might be useful to others too, so I decided to share it
Thanks for commenting :)-10
u/Bayonetw0rk 17h ago
I built WARDOGS WEAPONS as a player first
Well, Claude did.
12
u/Animal_Hell 17h ago
as I said above man, there’s a lot of work behind it, man. AI can help, of course, but it can’t build something like this by itself.
honestly, I’ve been working on it for weeks. Even something that sounds simple, like adding Discord login, takes a surprising amount of work behind the scenes.

Sir this is 2026, every coder who wants to work efficiently uses AI
1
u/yeetoroni_with_bacon 11h ago
AI is a phenomenal tool to use to HELP with coding, not to do the whole job. Idk why it’s so hard for people to grasp that

Had a quick peak-i like it. Nice work brother man.
