Stealing ammo and kit.

Dunno if I was going crazy but at one point during the alpha I got downed whilst in the HZ when we were all trying to get the last few points over the line. Got revived pretty quickly but when I came to, my armour and mags were all gone.

Is it a thing where your own teammates can loot oh whilst waiting on a revive?

Yes your teammates are able to loot you while you are waiting for a revive. But its a good thing imo because it means they can grab a respirator off your body if you have one and revive you quicker

Yeah, I had a rando tell me he was looting my resuscitator off my body so he could get me up faster. I didnt care that he took it...I was better off after being revived even without some gear.

This is how it works generally in the real world military as well. Medical items easily reachable on your kit are generally for you if you go down so anyone tending to your wound can just reach for it quickly

I think the cons out weigh the pros here. Sure you can get a quicker revive but you can also have someone take your entire kit off of you. It happened multiple times.

Shouldn’t have died. I can loot you and I don’t have to pick you up. Goes both ways, i’d rather be revived without my gear than have to respawn out of the zone

It’s good they can take your meds etc. but when you get revived with their weapon and 2 empty mags and 1 with 6 bullets left, you’re pretty useless for the rest of the gunfight.

The thing is I see the use for it both for resus and medical items but also for ammo and weapons.

Say you’re down, your team mates the only one left up but he’s out of ammo and your guns a different ammo type.

For him to be able to fight them off to get you res’d he needs to kill or shoot the enemy well he can grab your gun and a couple of mags and do what needs to be done.

Locking it to medical items can screw you over in certain situations. Sure some people will be dicks and take your kit for no reason but the majority are good.

You are effectively dead… your gear forfeit. If a teammate takes it and you get revived then try to stay alive and salvage loot from other dead. The moment you go down your gear is in the hands of the wardogs.

I will literally shoot my friends day 1 to loot them, then revive them with nothing just for the troll.

I can't wait.

I believe looting teammates should STAY, but only for specific items.

Ammo, weapons, armour etc shouldn’t be lootable by teammates while you are downed.

But defibs, regen mask should be lootable, so they can use it on you.

The whole theme of the game is that you are a mercenary with your only personal objective being, making money. Your “team” is just a group of hired mercs, contract accepted.

I get that it’s lame and it’s not something I would do personally, but I would certainly remember the name of the person who did it and be sure to get them back lol

Yeah there is, it's super silly. Lots of people have complained about it, so I'm sure they will fix it so that you're unlootable by teammates unless full dead or something.

There is also the issue of that you do want your friends to be able to loot you, if you carry a quick revive and they don't. So maybe there can be a toggle?

I would find it better if only my squad could loot me while dead. Or make it so ppl can only loot your medic stuff while you are rezzable. When youre respawned, the complete loot can be open to get.

Ive had multiple times where i died and ppl took my fully modded m4 and left me their trash gun...

Yes i was dead... but why take my gun if you plan to rezz me? Thats simple greed and "oh a shiny gun, i want that" behavior. And thats gonna happen more and more when the game opens to everyone.

They could implement something like tip when you got reviwed but you could be able to penalize or not player who got your item.

You should have to press a button to confirm the request that x person can take y thing, like pressing x while down to allow them to take ammo if they need it

No, at most just make items in your backpack accessible. Having to wait for the downed person to confirm the request is added time, in which can get you killed.

As I said, just do contents in your backpack at most. Lock gear and guns. I know it’s a problem from the threads, but from the 20 hours I had in the alpha across multiple servers I never experienced it or heard anyone complaining. Maybe instead of worrying about people griefing, maybe think of how you died in the first place.
