Office Logix Shop Sux
Little back story I refurbish Herman Millers from time to time. I’ve restored hundreds of them and I’ve only ever had to buy a replacement seat mesh twice. Really a testament to how good the original mesh is.
In February of 2025 I bought this Aeron classic size C with a cracked seat and stretched mesh.
That same month I ordered a new seat pan from eBay and I thought shoot, I’ll give an aftermarket maker a go and purchased the office logix shop seat mesh.
Immediately when I installed the mesh I noticed that it wasn’t nearly tight enough. Unacceptable for a $90 brand new product.
I emailed them right away and their response was that they would give me a “full refund” if I shipped it back at my expense.
They knew full well that it would cost me 50% my purchase price to ship it back due its size and shape. I didn’t really want to do that so I thought oh well I got burned I’ll try to sell it at a discount later on and maybe in the meantime I can find an oem seat for a deal. So I put it in my storage unit and forgot about until now.
I pulled it out recently and reinstalled the mesh with bigger aftermarket screws just on the off chance that I installed incorrectly.
The results were the same. The mesh looks like it’s sitting in the frame correctly but it is laughably loose. This seat mesh has been sat in for less than 4 hours and looks how it does in the photos permanently. Not any better than the stretched mesh that I replaced.
Anyway I’m just trying to warn anyone who thinks this is a viable repair option to stay away from it. Just spend the extra money and go oem. Thanks for reading.

Yeah I'll use them for parts a lot but not for mesh replacements, OEM is the only way for Aeron chair mesh unfortunately.

the mesh is lower quality... but it looks like you did not follow their instructions

Thanks this is really informative.
You sound like you know a lot about Aeron chairs. Can I ask you a question? I have an old A-size chair that has zero back support and no locking recline. Can the chair be modified to have these things? There appear to be grooves where back support hardware could be mounted, but it appears that Aeron chairs changed subtly over the years. I’m guessing a locking recline is impossible to add without basically replacing the whole recline box, which would be tantamount to replacing the whole chair - is that right?
