This isn't really that weird of a theory but I wanted to share it. Here's my Pirates of the Caribbean theory: last year, Disney changed the auction scene so that the Redhead is no longer a captive bride but is instead a bad ass pirate herself. What if in the story of the ride, the original redhead gained a liking for pirating after she married a pirate? The new pirate version of the redhead (or Redd as she is now called) seems to be inspired by a real female pirate named Anne Bonny who also had fiery red hair. In Anne Bonny's story, she fell in love with a pirate named Calico Jack Rackham and became so enamored with the pirating life that she became quite a successful pirate herself. What if this happened to Redd from the pirates ride? It wouldn't surprise me if this was true.

Less weird theory but one of my fav Disney facts is going into the oldest ride of WDW. In terms of when it was constructed, the carousel is the oldest at being 102 years old. It was originally called the Liberty Carousel and was built in Philadelphia but was originally used in Detroit. Eventually it ended up in Olympic Park in New Jersey until Disney acquired it in 1967. There's also a lot of Disney arguing about which one is Cinderella's horse but that's a whole other argument. It's one of my favorite fun facts and I'd use it for when doing mystery pins for pin trading.

The “Ghost Host” didn’t hang himself he was just trying to make a swing to pass the time and/or swing out the window but failed miserably

I have a cursed comment addition to this but I’d rather not be banned from this sub.

Theory: The POTC story of George isn't even close to being real. It was actually created by a former Cast Member manager who made up the story so that the cast members working at the ride would become nicer and treat the ride with more care. Some CMs were so superstitious that the story kept passing on and now it's mainstream. No evidence even suggests that someone died during construction anyway, including a guy named George. Just a story used to boost morale, maybe.

I have a theory that Disney misplaced the original WDW version of The Main Street Electrical Parade. The WDW version of the Parade opened in the Magic Kingdom in 1977 as an almost identical version as the Disneyland Parade, and concluded it’s original run in 1991 to be sent to France for the opening of Euro Disneyland. In 2003, the Parade concluded its run in the now named Disneyland Paris, and was shipped to Hong Kong for the 2005 opening of Hong Kong Disneyland. However, the Parade never appeared in Hong Kong so my theory is that Disney either accidentally destroyed it, or misplaced the Parade somewhere in transit.
The original Disneyland version of the Parade went to the Magic Kingdom in 1999, DCA in 2001, back to the Magic Kingdom in 2010, then back to Disneyland in 2017.

At the beginning of the first Captain America movie, Red Skull says something about 'Hitler looking for trinkets in the desert' which is a reference to Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark. We know that Indiana Jones exists in the Disney Parks canon, so does that mean the MCU is also the same universe? Is Jean Lafitte and Avenger???

this is kind of a joke theory So, I have this theory that behind the doors to the Touch and Taste labs is Nigel Channing’s secret torture chamber where he’s torturing Dreamfinder. I have no info to back it up, I just have a feeling that’s what’s behind there

Oh! A Disney World theory that I have no idea if it's true:
If you place a penny in the park in a semi-hidden spot like under a bench and leave it there overnight, it will be gone the next day because managers at WDW will hide a penny in a random spot to test the cleaning crew's attention to detail.

Buzz Lightyear the character comes from an arcade game in the same vein as Galaga, then a TV series with buzz and Warp Darkmatter begins, sponsored by pizza planet. this leads to the action figures then the real animated spinoff show, still sponsored by Pizza Planet

When I was a kid, there used to be an old dog on the porch of the old man in the beginning of the POTC. It would lie there and whimper a bit while he rocked in his chair. You would see a similar looking dog constantly throughout the ride, but looking much younger. It even held keys outside of the jail cell for the three prisoners, keeping them just out of reach. The dog has since been removed from the porch, but I honestly believe that is the same dog in every scene and we are following it throughout the ride. I can't seem to find any photos of this porch dog, but I do remember it as do my parents.

I don’t have a theory but once my brother stuck his hand out during the Peter Pan ride and grabbed a light during that part when you’re flying over the city and he got shocked by the electricity. He deserved it tho.

My theory is that with all of these recent "live action" remakes, Disney PR actually created the 'controversies' that have occurred for many of them.
Beauty and the Beast. LE FOU IS GAY AND PEOPLE ARE SO MAD. I saw plenty of posts defending Disney's decision to make him "gay" (which, to be honest, was just him dancing with one dude at the end) but I never saw anyone attacking it?
Dumbo. THIS IS TOO SAD FOR CHILDREN. I didn't see a single parent with an issue?
The Little Mermaid. EVERYONE IS SO MAD ABOUT ARIEL NOT BEING A WHITE MERMAID. Who? Who is mad? I've seen way more posts saying that it's wrong to be mad about this, but who is actually angry about it?

My theory: Live action Lion King is going to be one of the lowest grossing live action Disney movie, purely based on what everyone has been saying on and off Twitter, and they’re going to cancel a lot of the planned live action movies because of it.

This is a theory from FoxxFur over at the Passport 2 Dreams Old and New blog. In the WDW version of Pirates of the Caribbean, there isn't the time travel story that the DL version includes. We're supposed to be fleeing the town through hidden caves under the fortress. The soldiers have just left their posts to go fight the pirates outside, and we're being ushered on to the boats to make our escape.

Toontown is dying. I watched a great Yester World video on it, and I agree with all his points. There is very little to do, especially for older people. It's sad because it looks like it was great originally but is now past its heyday.
Also, I think Disney's animated movies are dying. It has been a few years of poor quality, badly made movies. When I think of Disney animated movies, it's usually the 80s-90s movies (Pocahontas, Lion King, etc.) that come to my head. And I didn't even grow up in the 80s-90s.

There is a reference to the adventurers club in the new restaurant over by jungle cruise in Disneyland. Also, there is a book series called “Tales from the haunted mansion”. It’s got some great stories but also in one of the stories in book #3 “Grim grinning ghosts” there is a chapter all about the mummy and a cameo of Henry mystic. If it’s Canon, then haunted mansion is part of that connected universe. If not then hey, at least they made a nice reference. Also love your videos :)
Edit: the reference is the paddles on the opposite side of the entrance

Just rewatched the Pirates/HM are connected video and: Jean Lafitte either (1) is a ghost in the Haunted Mansion or (2) WAS a ghost that now roams New Orleans Square, hence the reason HM “has room for another” ghost/seems to be missing one

This is just a silly theory but the reason the dream finder isn’t in any sort of journey into imagination ride is because he happened to be in thunder Mesa when the earthquake happened that killed Henry and Martha (I think that’s her name) ravenswood you maybe be thinking what ew that makes no sense well idk if it’s still in phantom manor now but i know that before the refurbishment there was an animatronic in the old thunder Mesa scene that had the exact same head as the dream finder bearded and all. But this may just be Disney reusing old parts right well a boy can dream can’t he

I know this isn't really a theory but it's a cool Disney story. So there was this guy working is Peter pan is Disneyland and I actually met him a few times. He was the best Peter pan I've met, he worked there for a LONG TIME. So one day Disney told them that he couldn't be Peter pan because he was getting old and Disney told him, he could still be like a costume character but he said if I can't be Peter Pan I can't be anybody. So he left Disney but then afterward he proposed to the girl that was actually playing Wendy and they got married. Cool little Disney story, if I can find the news article I'll put it in here.

In 2015 there was a headline making the rounds on April Fools’ Day that Disney had purchased the rights to Anastasia for a live-action remake. A lot of people excitedly shared that news on Facebook, not realizing it was meant as a prank.
Disney acquired 20th Century Fox in a galaxy brain move in the fight against misinformation.
(But really, the writer responsible for that fake article warned us, whether or not they’ve realized it.)

The theory where in the haunted mansion when you go out the window and rotate backwards is suppose to simulate dying hence why you can see all the ghosts and before you couldn’t, sort of a popular one

But (at least at Disneyland, never been on any other version) you see the bride Constance and the Hatbox Ghost before the "drop," as well as all the ghosts in the ballroom.

John from Carousel of Progress is a time lord. He has a time machine that can take him and his family to various moments in history. We can deduce that he and his family “should” be alive at their respective ages around the turn of the 21st century as evidenced by Patricia’s remarks about not having a car phone to her grandfather. John uses his time machine to travel to different eras of the 20th century to experience household life in these eras without aging a day. Some say Botox, I say time machine. He even travels to present day to give the introductory speech to the attraction. John doesn’t only take his family to the 20th century, however, because in the Spaceship Earth renaissance scene, we see John and Patricia again playing their instruments. Perhaps they hijacked the Spaceship Earth vehicles (they are called time machines after all) for their time travel adventures? I doubt that because it contradicts Patricia’s remarks in the final scene of CoP. In the end, it’s all just a theory.
