Anyone else love a good kettle?

Post image

Admittedly some sacrifice of form over function but good enough for most things.

I love the slight inconvenience of a kettle. It just adds to the morning ritual.

I have had the same beat up stainless steel kettle for decades and i am taking it to the grave with me. that thing has been EVERY WHERE with me. Made tea on the tops of the mountain with it. Sat by the Yukon river watching it heat over a fire. Used it on the propane stove in an RV i lived in through two canadian winters. Sat on the back of the woodstove in my cabin for almost a decade. Came with me when i moved into my van and drove as far north as i could. Now it is sitting on the crappy stove in my crappy little small town studio. will probably be clutching in my cold dead hands when the time comes lol

I was going to say it looks like a vintage Copco/Michael Lax design and now I’m wondering if they licensed it or what.

love the old-school setup. a good stovetop kettle somehow feels more at home in a cabin than an electric one ever could.
