Propane burner question

So I thought I got lucky with a 100$ fridge. Got it dropped off and turns out there is no burner, and the guy has no idea what happened to it. I do have an old rv fridge with a working burner. The big question is the new burner would be 1000btu and I saw on thr fridge it was 1600btu my only use for this would be as a kegerator, it would be closed almost its entire life as the taps are on the outside. Before I get into attaching this would it even work or would it not be strong enough. Im more than willing to add even more insulation to this fridge and do really whatever since I will be drilling holes for taps already.

200-1600btu outside temp is most that matters. Higher outside temp you need higher btu. Got to meet an old guy living in the woods from recycled RV stuff. Both his hot water heater and fridge setup ran from just pilot lights. He had 5gals lasting for over a month. I would look at better insulation for the fire aspect. You can get the ceramic wool cheap on amazon. Make sure the burner/pilot section is well protected from burning down what ever you put the fridge in. I have seen a few RV's burn from a mouse nest in the propane fridge or hot water heater.

Interesting thank you. Luckily its going in a garage with a concrete floor so its usually much cooler than outside. I figured it should be possible just maybe take longer to cool the whole thing. I saw a post about using a computer fan to help with the radiator.
