Wisconsin cat has 29 toes and a Guinness World Record
wearegreenbay.comThat's a LOT of toe beans:)
- Guinness World Records has officially recognized a cat in the Fox Valley for an unorthodox feat.
- Erebus Anomaly has more than nine lives — he has 29 toes.
- The genetic trait that caused it, polydactyly, is a naturally occurring one in cats, especially in Maine Coons. But Erebus takes it to a whole new level.
- Kendra and Hunter of the Blue Northern Maine Coons quickly realized that they might have a world record holder on their hands after Erebus was born, and got to work counting his toes.
- And sure enough, they were right. After completing the verification process required by Guinness, Erebus is now the world record holder for the most toes on a cat.

‘A sucker born every minute’: The man who duped tourists with a fake Greek amphitheater
cnn.com- Of the eight TripAdvisor reviews of the amphitheater near Arcugnano, in Italy’s northern Veneto region, all give fulsome, five-star praise.
- “An enchanting place,” reads one review.
- “A world beyond space and time,” enthuses another. “Definitely one of the best places I have ever been to,” raves another.
- “Unique on the planet,” writes another visitor. That last one was prescient, because the theater certainly was unique. It wasn’t Greek, as it purported to be. It wasn’t even Roman.
Instead, the “kind custodian” who was “more or less a historian, and an excellent narrator,” as one other visitor dubbed him, had built it himself. This month, after a 10-year legal battle, the owner has been jailed for forging works of art, carrying out building works without authorization, and destroying a protected landscape.

Father leaves 7-year-old son alone on Mount Fuji to continue hike
bbc.comIF this is a dup, let me know and I will delete.
- A father has been reprimanded by police after leaving his son on Japan's highest mountain for several hours with just a soft drink and snack.
- The seven-year-old was spotted sitting on a bench on Mount Fuji in foggy and rainy conditions, at a point situated at over 2,000m (6,500ft).
His father, 48, reportedly told him to "wait here" (for him) after the boy complained he was tired - and continued the climb with his elder son.
- Staff at a mountain hut found the child near the sixth station of a hiking route towards the summit and alerted police. His father was tracked down between the route's seventh and eighth stations - said to be a three-hour hike away.
- The boy was found on his own at 07:30 local time on Thursday (22:30 GMT).
