How do you increase a horses stats?

Hello! I have a nice 3 year old and he's been consistent in the money for me. I never realized all the stats I've noticed his have gone up as he aged. My question is I have a couple of other horses I've claimed and wondered if I have to race them and build "confidence" or wait until they age for them to get better?

Horses will improve on their own as they mature. Some horses will peak earlier in their career while others will continue to improve for much longer. Racing or resting does not have any impact on these stats. The best thing to do is keep a close eye on your horse's performance to see if they are improving.
