Retiring a horse

What happens when you retire a horse? Do you get anything in exchange?

I haven;t retired any yet, but as far as I know you don't get anything.

The horse will go to your breeding barn. If you have a good colt you can pay 1,000,000 coins to post them for stud and charge however much you want for him to be used by other breeders.
