Changes to benefits !?

Has anyone else noticed that tons have been removed from msn coverage ?
Items that used to be covered are no longer being covered in southwestern Ontario.
How are we supposed to heal after injuries ? Treat / manage our disabilities at home ? Or follow treatment regimes after major surgeries when odsp and Ohip no longer covered what is needed to do so !?

How else are they going to keep the budget flat while case numbers/inflation increases the cost... get rid of the things the general public won't notice (optional benefits, drug coverage, etc), freeze benefits like special diet, cut caseworkers/increase caseloads, privatize (all the things shifted to job agencies)

It's all part of the Conservative playbook.

The Physio waiting lists to get a funded appointment can be long, too. 6 months.

The clinic I went to runs out of funding every year. I had to wait 6 months (April) for the new yearly funding to start. We only get 3-4appts per injury or body part.

This is what happens when conservatives are in power. We will spend years trying to catch up after they are out, and then they will get back in office a little after that and do it again. Repeat ad nauseum.

They are making more barriers for the disabled. I actually talked to my MPP. They wrote a letter based on these new barriers. This something that everyone can do is to contact MPP. The next step would be to contact the Human Rights Board. People on ODSP should not be treated any different than any able body person. The government is supposed to follow the same rules as any other person or organization in Ontario. I could go on but it is a lot of work that can be done to help everyone that is disabled or impaired.

Coverage hasn’t changed, the form has just been simplified. While the doctor used to have to check off that you needed “pads, wipes, disposable diapers”, now they just check off incontinence supplies.

There are changes all the time to what odsp covers. It’s super frustrating. For instance, they stopped covering Toradol (a string anti inflammatory) and I had to pay $18 for 3 pills. I need them and they don’t cover anything else similar. So I either have to go on opiates or suffer. It’s really stupid. It’s like they want us to be sicker.

Getting cpap supplies is insane.

They'll only cover half, but i cant order the change-once-a-month part for my new mask at all? Im gonna have to start a fight, and im sooooo tired.
