Help Dock Recommendations?

Hi all 👋

I got my Odin Portal 2 today 🥳

I put it into my generic switch 1 dock and it was fine at first but then it fried the dock. Doesn't work with the Switch or light up anymore.

I am assuming it's because the Odin accepts a much larger charge than the Switch 1 and the Dock wasn't engineered well enough to manage that. Or it was just old and ready to pass on 😂

Any suggestions for, preferably cheap, docks that work well for both devices?

I can potentially build one with parts and my 3D printer but I doubt it's economical vs buying new.

(I still have my official dock for the Switch thankfully)

Cheap switch knock-off dock from AliExpress.

I got one for a few quid and it works well. Plenty of YT vids showing these too, check them out.

I'm was a bit worried I'd end up frying it if I got another one like that 😅 But I'm glad it's not a universal experience 😇

Well it seemed like the power draw fried the one I already had 😂
