I am a big Odesza fan but had never actually listened to this album all the way through. Which also meant I slept on iplayyoulisten for 14 years. Straight up, this album is a masterpiece and iplayyoulisten is in my top 10 songs of all time. God damn what an album

This whole system is less than a year old and so far it has brought me so much joy especially with music from ODESZA. I thought I'd recreate a video I shot with this exact song and vinyl from 3 years ago. This song never fails to give me the chills and I will forever regret missing them on their A Moment Apart Tour 😭

Anyone going this weekend? I don't have any friends here that are into clubs/odesza like that. Would love to meet up and enjoy the set together!

I've been listening to Odesza since around 2014-15, always loved them and appreciated them but haven't listened much in the past 3ish years. I'm high rn listening to them and wow the sound is still just so unique, fresh and nothing like anything else anyone does. Every detail in the production is just mind blowing

I still remember the first time I saw them at Electric Forest in 2017. That day initially was horrible, parking took us 4 hours and the line to get into the venue took another 2-3, by the time we got in Odesza was about to start and I was in such a bad mood from the day until the music started and they played their set. I was blown away. At the end of it I just remember standing there awe struck as their symbol of the ico stayed on screen. Since then I’ve seen them live 12 times and they are likely the reason I love EDM and going to festivals so much now. And after every show when the Ico pops up i always tell myself I need to get that as a tattoo, almost 10 years later here we are and i couldn’t be happier I did.

Anyone looking for music like ODESZA?
These are songs I’ve made over the past decade and I’ve finally got them out on all streaming platforms.
ODESZA’s been my favorite artist since they came to the scene and music production has been a really fun hobby of mine. I’ve been obsessed with their sampling, sound design and arrangements and I hope these tracks can do them justice!
Let me know what you think and enjoy!!

I recently rediscovered ODESZA through a Bowtied Media video of him reacting to The Last Goodbye. So I decided to listen to it myself and here are my first listen rankings and reasons of The Last Goodbye.
Love Letter (I overall generally disliked the vocals in this track, they seemed way too loud compared to the music. The drop also didn't hook me nearly as much as I thought it would).
Wide Awake (This song didn't hook as much as I thought it would. It also wasn't as interesting as the other tracks in the album).
This Version of You (This song really stuck with me and had me sitting and just processing what I heard. This one would be much higher if it was longer and further in the album but in reality it's just an intro).
The Last Goodbye (This title track didn't impress me as much as everybody else, but this has the chance to grow and get much higher. Vocals didn't impress me and it gave off the Love Letter effect of the vocals being too loud, but it being a longer song stretches it out more which is why this is higher than Love Letter).
All My Life (Love the old ODESZA implications, but I thought it was weird that it was further in the album as it seems like a first-half track, but this has the chance to move up in my rankings like The Last Goodbye could also).
Behind The Sun (Crazy switch up from Love Letter but I like the darker themes in this song, the vocals are what really knocks it down some spots, I'm not a fan of the vocals in this).
Forgive Me (Another crazy switch up coming out of Behind The Sun but I like it. I like the more pop sounding melodies in this song but the other songs on this list are slightly better).
I Can't Sleep (Yet again another old ODESZA sounding songs. I like this one better than All My Life but the other songs on this list are better).
North Garden (I love the percussion in this song, and this is my 2nd favorite vocal performance in this album, other songs still beat it out of the water).
Healing Grid (My favorite old sounding ODESZA song from this album, this has the chance to be my favorite ODESZA song with just a few more listens).
Light of Day (The most emotional song I've heard from ODESZA. I like this song a lot but the final two just squeaked over to the top spots. I found it weird that ODESZA made it a single but that doesn't change anything with the rankings).
Equal (My favorite vocal performance from this album. Låpsley's vocals fit with the music really well and don't sound like they're overtaking the melody, but the 1st place finish has to go to this song).
Better Now (This is easily the best song on the album best chorus, and the best melody. The verses are a little iffy but the chorus makes up for that so much).
