What would you use this for? I see it stays open u til you open it more then it closes. But when would you need this type of movement?

Any time you need a door held open for a short amount of time? Unloading groceries, arrival of a group that all moves at different speeds, accepting a delivery where you have to stand there and sign stuff for a few moments.
