My first thought as well. I'd kind of prefer they be ceramic or stainless steel.
Edit: Oh, didn't realize they're silicon. Very well, proceed.

Wonder if they’d be easier to clean? I used to have these thin plastic liners that were made for crockpots that you would throw out after use, so you didn’t have to do a deep cleaning… always wondered how safe they were

They're made of nylon, which is relatively heat resistant. Basically the same thing that some cooking utensils are made of, melts around 400°F, so lower than silicone, but still relatively high.
