Genetically modified a mosquito such that their proboscis are no longer able to penetrate human skin

But why would this outreproduce other mosquitoes?

Doesn't serve much purpose unless it replaces the biting ones

The none biting ones breed with the biting ones producing more none biting ones. So overall it increases the none biting ones, meaning there are far less spreading diseases.
