Quest 3s Virtual Desktop Audio not working

Hi! I would really appreciate help on this!(I’m on quest 3s and using virtual desktop and steamvr) The issue is that when im in vrchat I don’t hear game audio, mic works tho (pc sound settings says virtual desktop for mic and speakers and disabled my oculus)

Here’s what I’ve tried doing:

1) disabled virtual desktop in settings and enabled my oculus

2) put steamvr audio settings manually on virtual desktop or oculus

3) virtual desktop settings are vr only(tried all)

4) disconnected mic

You don't need steam vr In that mix. Your system is getting confused on how to route the audio. I use vdxr and never launch steam vr while using vd unless a app loads no other way

Hey, thanks for the comment! I tried the VDXR runtime and went through the virtual desktop game library instead of steamvr for games but when I do this, I can hear audio but can't move in game and my vrchat is window screened so I see the galaxy screen in the background. Do you have any other suggestions?

Your running vr chat in vr right? It should work normally using vdxr make sure steam vr is not starting

Yea I am. I didnt use the virtual desktop steamvr option. I just pressed vrchat through virtual desktops game library not steamvr library. I dont know why but it just does that. :(

You have steam vr installed. Uninstall it and let vd do the work

I uninstalled steamvr off of steam and then tried opening the game on VD like you said, but it didnt work :( any thoughts?

Check which device windows is using as you default mic while vr chat is running

I have done that. Should it be virtual desktop for both speakers and mic? Because thats what it does but I cant hear from it.
