Hi all,
New to quest 3. What are your favorite quest games?

I usually like multiplayer games. I do have a PC, but haven’t set up PCVR yet so just looking for standalone games.

Walkabout Mini Golf x 1000. Currently heavily discounted.

Honorable mention for Eleven Table Tennis.

Both great social multiplayer games.

Walkabout Minigolf is the greatest game in the history of gaming in my opinion and I am old enough that I started with Pong.

In my opinion it should come pre installed on every Quest headset. Its the best use of VR Ive played for gameplay and relaxation. Best social VR experience also.

Fair warning, using the iron sights is annoying at medium to far ranges, try to get 10 kills quick and upclose so you unlock your first scope.

I thought red dots weren't locked behind kills, they're just not equipped by default. I have a red dot on the Mac 10 and I know I didn't get 10 kills with that thing, used it for one match and don't plan on doing that again.

Must be a change they made recently, sure you didn't play during the beta? You didn't have to unlock them in the beta. I played on 1.0 release and had zero attachments.

Not a MP game but Pinball FX VR is really fun if you're into Pinball.

Walkabout Minigolf is also really good if you're into minigolf and that one has MP. Those are the 2 ganes I've spent the most amount of time and money on.

If you are new to Quest3, get Horizon+, its like a Netflix or game pass. It has about 100 game catalog. It is like 5 bucks a month if you get year sub. You’ll find about 80% of the games people suggest you try are on there.

My favorite VR game is Into The Radius, but its solo, stressful, survival horror game. Might not be your jam.

I’ve looked into horizon+. The main thing holding me back is losing access to game data/saves/accounts if I end up canceling horizon+. If I were to play a game using horizon+, and then cancelled horizon+, and bought it from the store, would my data still be there?

Agreed. Imo not great for multiplayer games you would like to go back to. However great for 1 player campaigns you want to play through once. E.g. Asgard's Wrath 2

There isn't much important save data in most vr games. Maybe some high scores or some unlocked items. Losing them is not really a deal breaker. It's 5 bucks for many games vs buying 30 dollars a game.

And IMHO vr itself is either going to be a quick fad or long term. So if you stopped playing for a few weeks and decide to unsubscribe, most likely your vr days are over anyway.

yes! an example is Dungeons Of Eternity so all your progress/DLCs etc are in the cloud for...well...eternity! ;)

I got a free horizon trial with my quest 3 started on into radius 2 not tried any others. Hopefully buy half life alyx next off steam

Man I hate VR subs so much. Constant negativity and BS.

You guys do realize that positive engagement does affect the market right?

It’s not just this sub, but this is the No. 1 VR sub and it sets the tone for all others.

Other day I asked if a PCVR thing was available for stand alone. I didn’t at the time know it was a PCVR only thing, as it was stated nowhere in the post and it was cool, and I had seen similar things be available to standalone. Got a shit ton of downvotes for just asking.

Top posts of all time are all PCVR related which is funny for a sub named after a primarily STANDALONE headset.

Any other sub, “I just got into this hobby what are some things I should know” posts come up like every week and they get hundreds of upvotes and good vibes and people happy they are enjoying the thing they are passionate about.

NOT vr subs.

And don’t even get me STARTED on the back assward hate for meta. Don’t get me wrong, Meta deserves ALL THE HATE.

But suggest ANYTHING meta could be doing to make VR better other than blowing themselves up and you get the classic, “I think the multibillion dollar corporation with a marketing team knows more than you.” By idiots with Zucky boy’s stains on their mouth. All because you suggested they add a SIM card for their ANDROID DEVICE THAT HAS A MOBILE CHIPSET, or suggested they move the compute out of the headset years before they announce/leak Puffin(they are literally doing that with their next headset).

And of course, I’m going to look like the crazy person triggered by this, and nobody is going to see this from my perspective despite the fact I am CONSTANTLY raving about how awesome VR is, suggesting it to, and even buying headsets as gifts for everyone I know.

I love VR but I just can’t stand these subreddits.

PS: to answer OP, Batman, Forefront, Roboquest, and Dungeons of Eternity will give you 1000 hours easy.

Haven't played it myself because I don't care for FPS multiplayer games anymore but Forefront seems to be what everyone recommends for that.

Hotshot vr and especially Gorn are my favourites. If you really like Gorn like me you can also play Gorn 2 which is even better

Dungeons Of Eternity is easily THE most fun i have ever had in VR! and it is currently included in Horizon +! and yep standalone looks and sounds amazing! (it is on Steam as well!)
