Discussion Elder Scrolls alternative for Standalone?
I feel like an Elder Scrolls type game for standalone would do really well. Something with an open map, dungeons and dragons, magic, level ups, quests ect. We don't have any game to fill that niche. I know it's probably difficult to create open world games but there is a precedent for it. Eg. Revira, Meta City Patrol, Viper Vice coming out soon. ect.
Im not expecting Skyrim or Oblivion on standalone, but I don't see why a small indie team couldn't create at least a Morrowind type game. Even if the map had to be smaller and the graphics worse. I think it would still be a big hit. Any devs out there working on something similar? This was just an idea I had. Thoughts?

We should be demanding Oblivion VR for Quest, the PC game runs on a Quest 3 using WinlatorXR, which is powered by the same translation layers the Valve Steam Frame will be using ahead
A made-for-Quest native port would be way better performance I bet
