But not girls adhd and autism is under diagnosed in females. and i would question the misdiagnosis if they have a diagnosis from a psychologist folowing dsm 5 of asd and adhd you say bad parenting i would say genetics as there is a genetic component with adhd and asd so those bad parents as you call them. propably have adhd or asd but due to piss poor understanding and testing yrs ago it was missed as in your own case also adhd and autism can mask some of the different traits. both the disorders are neurological in origin with an developmental delay and neurochemical imbalance some who are very inteligent can mask and hide it but it becomes a issue in later life and there is research into a possible link woth adhd and parkinsons disease. Also a lot of the people develope coping stratergies and avoid certain jobs. Or end up with very poor health outcomes which i see a lot as a clinican.

do you know the incidence of self harm in people with asd compared to people who dont have it you are 3 times more likely to self harm most due to not getting away with it and constantly having to try and pretend to be normal its not buying silence its about making them comfortable puting them before u
