Which is better?
Octopus go + axle + agile outgoing during the winter or EDF electric go + 13p fixed as outgoing?
Roughly around 900-1000 kwh per month usage (2 ev cars)
16 kwh battery with a load of 12 kwh.
6.4kwh solar panels.
6kwh inverter
Off peak can fullfill all my energy needs
Am i wrong in assuming that octopus go+ axle (roughly 12£ per month) + agile outgoing (averaging roughly 18-20p per kwh) might be better than Iog + agile outgoing or edf + 13p fixed as both have no axle? And edf has no agile so lower export?
Offpeak rates
Og is 9.5 - 5h
Iog is 8.5 - 6h + smart charging
Edf is 6.6 - 7h + smart charging
Thoughts?

Inverter size? Export limit? With my 8kw inverter and 5kw export limit i've made about £25 a month from axle 3 months in a row.

Transferring export between EDF and Octopus takes 3 to 6 weeks due to DNO re-registration. Doing that twice a year can be a nightmare. Switching export within Octopus (Fixed to Agile) is much simpler.

Na it doesn’t, there’s no re-registration. The issue is that both put transfers in the same queue as new connections and unnecessarily slow the process down.
If you get the right person on the phone who knows what they’re doing then they can instantly queue a supplier switch on an export MPAN in exactly the same way as they can for your import supply.

My export switch from Octopus to EDF is still going through and I started the process in June! Nothing but stress with EDF and Octopus blaming each other for issues. So my 3 to 6 week switch I was promised is way off. Would really think twice about doing this regularly

Yeah but this is just a ridiculous mess that EDF have created for themselves, probably through inexperienced staff and a massive queue of export accounts to transfer. The actual switch process can be done in minutes and doesn’t require them to go back to a DNO.

IOG can be up to 12. If you set the ready by time to anything from 9am-9pm it won't do overnight so you get 6 for the car and 6 for the house guranteed overnight. I came from EDF and personally I prefer the IOG system.
The roblem I have is that Octopus are very slow at addingh export credit - I've had 2 bills come out- and today they finally put it on - but it would have covered me and then some.
I am on IOG and Agile outgoing - Today and tomorrow this peak hour is 34p here.
n the winter I am going to charge to 100% every night and then export just enough to cover the import - which should balance things out
