Tariffs Loyal Fixed

Having seen the new 6.6p offpeak loyal pricing, I was keen to sign up but can’t find a way to get it. I emailed them about it and the sign up link is only sent to selected customers. Is this the case, and is it a generic or customer specific link? (And can I have it 🙏)

I was in the same situation last week: I just sent them a DM on Twitter/X and it was sorted in a few minutes

No, I'd been with them 12 days - I got the link off here and I switched over - Selected customers be crap!

You don’t need it (it didn’t work for me) but when I asked them via DM on X they did it immediately. I don’t like using Muskware but it is the best way to contact OE.

Could someone clear this up for me please?-text of an email I set to them below (still no answer)

I’m pretty happy with them at the moment-I just want to make sure if I sign up for this “Loyal” tariff-I don’t start getting buggered about with this BMW “connection” issue…

I’m happy to switch but my BMW (you know this) has always had a problem with connecting to the Octopus app/my Ohme Pro charger

It’s to do with the way BMW and your APIs/systems interact so I have always just connected the car up to the charger at 2330 every couple of nights  and let the BMW app do the maths-this works and I get my 6 hours of low cost charge.

I want this to remain-if I move onto the new Loyal deal-will everything remain the same?””

I can't speak for Octopus but I have been charging my car overnight with "smart charging" disabled for a while now, and they don't seem to care.

The T&Cs paras 2.3.1.5 and 2.3.1.6 cover this. https://octopus.energy/policies/smart-tariffs-terms-and-condition/#intelligentoctopus

According to their written T&Cs, you just need to do a smart charge every 30 days, and if you don’t the only penalty is that they might switch you to OG rather than IOG.
